Great Cottage in a good location. Bamford is fairly central for what we wanted. Close to Stannage and other climbing areas. The cottage has lots of room, plenty of equipment and space for 6 adults. The village has a great bakery and co-operative pub / cafe and post office.

The cottage was beautiful, very clean and well equipped with everything we could have needed. Great to have the boot room to leave dirty shoes, clean the dog etc. The second sitting room was great as my sons sometimes wanted to watch sport and the rest of us didn't. The cottage was very warm and heating very easy to adjust. We weren't going to use Read morethe log burner as we were fine with the heating but the very kind neighbour brought us some wood so we did. Glen House is a wonderful property. It has all of the equipment you need to enjoy cooking in and with the living room and snug, options for a quiet night in. The owners have thought of everything. It was clean and welcoming. The utility room/downstairs WC was great and we also used it to store some cases. There is no off-street parking as advertiseRead mored but there was never an issue finding a space. Great location for access to the whole area, we would definitely recommend this place! Hide

This cottage is definitely one of the best. Plenty of pots for a large family group, and so well equipped for a keen cook. We really appreciated the two living spaces and kitchen. Bamford is well situated for most places in the Peak District - and the station with regular trains to Sheffield and Manchester is a bonus.
