This property is an ideally located bungalow that’s been thoughtfully decorated and designed for contemporary living. Just a short walk into the town of Bakewell where you'll find all the main amenities.

In the heart of the Peak District, Bakewell is a thriving market town with plenty going on, and just a stone’s throw from the rolling hills and trails of the national park. A short stroll to all Bakewell's shops, cafes and pubs this property is ideal for those wanting to leave the car behind.  For those looking to soak up some local culture, historic Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall can be reached by foot or car.

The bungalow is entered from the front into the spacious open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. At one end, the modern kitchen has wooden floors and units, new appliances and striking red splash back tiles. The adjacent dining table is big enough for entertaining and is surrounded by large windows and French doors leading outside. At the other end of this long room is the stylish sitting area, which features decorative wallpaper, comfortable sofas and a welcoming coal effect gas fire in a traditional gritstone fireplace.

Off the hall are the two bedrooms, one of which has two single beds, with an interesting feature wall. The other bedroom has been decorated in calming tones and has a double bed. The rooms share a modern shower room with WC. The utility room is perfect for storing coats and boots, while a further toilet completes this property.

The patio area off the kitchen is perfect for al fresco meals if the weather is kind, while six steps lead you up to the garden (small children should be supervised), which has further garden furniture for BBQs.

Great quiet location, comfortable and cosy cottage in easy reach of the town. Off-street parking was very helpful. Easy walk to supermarket, bank, traditional independent shops. Plenty of options for good food if you want to eat out. We loved the area for walking and local attractions.

Beautifull cottage in a very quiet location. Short walking distance to the center of Bakewell with a lot of good shops, restaurants and pubs. Ideal location to explore the Peak District.

Wonderful cottage in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Most importantly it has its own off street parking, which is a real bonus as parking in Bakewell can be pretty busy.

Good location if you want to be close to (in) Bakewell with plenty of Facilities, but you're not right in the centre of town. Also plenty of walking and off road cycling nearby.

We loved this cottage. It is in a fabulous location, there are lots of good places to walk and great bike rides. Bakewell is a lovely town with a great market and lots of pubs and cafes which serve good food. The cottage itself is very comfortable and clean so I would highly recommend it and would look at staying there again.

The cottage was of high ratings in all aspects and as this was our third holiday in the cottage we were not disappointed in any way. Location is good for exploring the Peak District and close to good stately homes (Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall) as well as the interesting history of Bakewell itself. Highly recommended in all areas.

Lovely cottage in a excellent location. We appreciated the welcome pack and Lynn popped round later in the week to check everything was ok; a nice touch.
