The cottage offers guests breathtaking views across the valley to Tittesworth Reservoir and The Roaches, a dramatic ridge line dominating the surrounding moorland. Here guests can feel part of nature, waking up to the sound of skylarks, lapwing and curlews, enjoy the sound of bees, and watch the ever changing cloudscape from the garden. The cottage is reached via a short private drive and is located next to the owner’s farmhouse. The property can be booked with Cloud Loft.

Guests approach the cottage via the charming garden and entrance which opens out into a hallway. A bathroom with a shower, toilet and hand basin is located up one step from the hall.  The cottage has a good size open plan living space with views of the garden and distant moors . Vintage furniture and fittings, home made pottery and a wood burner ensure the cottage is both welcoming and perfect for cosy nights in. The kitchen, located just two steps from the lounge and contains all the necessities that guests require during their stay. The bedroom with its far reaching views of the surrounding countryside has a super king size bed which can be split into two three foot single beds if requested at the time of booking.

Outside the bedroom window there is a private seating area for relaxing and drinking in the breath taking vistas of the weathered landscape of the Peaks.

landscaped differently from photos on the website. Brick path ways were slippery and planting overhung borders making access tricky. There is accommodation directly above, which gave us noise issues. The owners dog is very intrusive, appearing at windows barking, going up the steps to the above accommodation, circling our car, peeing up it. Wouldn'Read moret take a nervous dog like ours. Lovely cottage, excellent location, property description should really advise this is a shared garden, owners dog is also using the garden, just so that you are aware before booking.

The cottage is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside with views from every window. Unfortunately their dog was a real nuisance. He is obviously very friendly but is an absolute pain if your dog is nervous. Everyday without fail he did multiple wees up our car wheels and was often on the doorstep when we were trying to open the front door in Read moreorder to walk our dogs. The location is beautiful, so peaceful, quiet and stunning scenery. It is within good distance from Leek town and tourist attractions. Lovely warm cottage, very comfortable bed and little extras like the tasty homemade bread and Staffordshire cake very welcome. Our dog enjoyed making friends with owners dog.

Absolutely stunning view from every window in the cottage, home from home in the cottage, everything u would need, beautiful gardens, homemade bread from a local baker icecream homemade by the owners and raw milk, very welcoming. wow what a fantastic cottage. Thank you Bill for the bread it was delicious. The view from our bedroom window was out of this world. It had everything we needed and more. Lovely garden for relaxing in-between adventures. We will certainly come back and stay here again. Our dog enjoyed it too, she made friends with the owners dog.

A great place to stay. You do need to travel to all the walks but totally worth it for great accommodation. The garden is secure and great to be able to let your dog have a roam around without worrying about them. Will definitely stay here again.

A lovely welcome package of Bread, Milk, Eggs, Home made cake and even a local Ale, is a lovely touch and was well appreciated. The TV was an adequate size and even had a built in DVD player, a modest collection of DVD's was also on the shelf for rainy days. If you are over 6ft expect to hit your head, i wore a baseball cap to reduce injuries. Its Read morea lovely cottage well situated, beautiful scenery and wildlife. Beautiful cottage with amazing views from all sides over Hen cloud and the peaks. Super comfy and large bed. Truly dog friendly with many rugs for him to curl up on in the bedroom, hall and lounge which helped him settle in. We'll appointed kitchen, great log burner with wood available. Overall, a fab stay!

Lovely cottage with stunning views. Perfect location for exploring the Peak District! Super comfy bed, possibly the comfiest I have ever slept in! Very homely feel, and we fell in love with Bills amazing pottery around the cottage! Really thoughtful touches including homemade bread and dog essentials. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This cottage is all about location. Great for hiking, easy driving to good areas. The cottage was quaint, the owners friendly. For us, the cottage needs a bit of modernising. The TV was about the size of our laptop, the sofa was very uncomfortable, even the large number of cushions didn't help comfort-wise. For some reason, each night the duvet felRead moret damp, couldn't fathom why, possibly the room cooling quickly? We really enjoyed our break at Hen Cottage. A lot of thought has gone into making it a home from home. Very comfortable throughout the cottage . Scenery from all sides was beautiful , the sunsets where amazing. Bill & Elen made us really welcome, nice welcoming goodies for both humans & canines. We will certainly visit here again. The cottage is perfect very well stocked with everything you could possibly want or need for a stay here . The bed is perfect and so comfortable, as is the glorious settee . everything was clean and spotless and very cosy absolutely perfect .

Lovely cottage to stay in, despite the mist that enveloped us for three days, but that's November for you. The bed was so comfortable It was a good thing we couldn't fit it in the car! It was so lovely to come back to and so warm always. We did not have to light the woodburner as the cottage was always warm with minimal radiators on. Bathroom alwayRead mores warm - a must for me.
