For those seeking a touch of English country romance, the impressive houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are just a short drive away.

The one level accommodation benefits from underfloor heating and limestone effect floors making it a warm and inviting property. The delightful kitchen-dining area with a vaulted ceiling and oak units is full of character and equipped with all the essentials. The sitting room contains exposed king post trusses and a log burning stove which creates an impressive feature of the space. An arched window looks out onto the private cobbled courtyard and makes the room bright and airy.

The property has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, a dressing area and an en-suite bathroom with a gorgeous Victorian roll-top bath, shower over, toilet and hand basin. The second bedroom has two single beds as well as an en-suite shower room, toilet and hand basin.

Outside there is a seating area in the cobbled courtyard at the front of the property.  Electronic gates ensure that the property is secure and private.  Guests can also walk through the 30+ acres of the owners’ grounds to further explore the area and view the wildlife which includes badgers, foxes and owls.

Amazing facilities and cleanliness. Was nigh on perfect. The only small small issue was the proximity to a busy road and on rare occasions the traffic noise. The host Kate was very welcoming and genuine. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay there again

We received a friendly welcome from our hostess when we arrived. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. There was milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and sugar - and a delicious home-made cake. The cottage is ideally situated for walks and numerous visitor attractions - we visited the Tramway Village at Crich [a real step back in time!], thRead moree Heights of Abraham [a great day out], Bolsover Castle and several caverns. The property is in a picturesque location at the edge of the Peaks: perfect for ramblers. It is luxurious and exceptionally well equipped. Because it is on a single storey, it suited our party, which had a disabled member. The host had added a number of personal and very welcome touches.
