A pleasant location with good parking. It is light and airy and ideal for a short stay using it as a base for exploring the area. The accommodation is comfortable and is equipped to an adequate level. Some general maintenance is required. The owners were very pleasant and helpful.

The Carriage House is perfectly situated in the Amber Valley. Very roomy and comfortable for a couple. There is a pub 100 yards up the road that overlooks the most beautiful Valley. Food is reasonably priced pub grub and there is a great pie night on Thursdays. Dina (sorry if misspelled) is a warm , friendly and funny host and lives next door if yoRead moreu need anything. Very well priced and certainly more affordable than Peak District hot spots which are just a drive away. Hide

It was a absolute pleasure staying in this lovely cottage. Our host and hostess were very welcoming and informative of the area around, with lots of suggestions of places of interest along with personal recommendations of a variety of local pubs and restaurants. We have no doubt that we will return again.

Bedroom furniture poor. Only 2 hangers in wardrobe. Kitchen equipment needed a clean before being used. No clock. No everyday mugs/cups. No welcome milk or teabags. Cottage position didnt match up to what we imagined from write up. Overall we were disappointed.
