The nearby pretty market town of Bakewell lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park and offers a great place for meandering through the various shops, cafés and restaurants.
External stone steps lead to the gable end of the cottage and into a spacious lounge-dining area with exposed beams and an impressive vaulted truss ceiling which gives a wonderful sense of height and character to the room. From the living space, guests go down a single step to the main bedroom which contains a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with enclosed shower, a toilet and hand basin. Wooden stairs lead down to the kitchen which is fully equipped with all the essentials including a washing machine, and also has exposed wooden beams which give the kitchen a country style chic. There are two further bedrooms located downstairs in the cottage. One of the rooms contains a double bed and the other is a cosy single bedroom. The main bathroom has a bath with a shower-over, toilet and hand basin. Whilst dogs are welcome the property does not have a private garden, it does have various dog walks straight from the doorstep.
