Situated in the quaint village of Hepworth, the property is an hour’s drive from the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline and is ideal for those looking to explore the coastal towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh, Sheringham and Wells-next-the-Sea. Close by is the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds with cathedral, abbey, theatre and brewery, with brewery tours and quaint streets, great for shopping and eating out. National trust properties include Ickworth House and English Heritage castles at Framlingham and Orford. Enjoy staying at the property and watch the wildlife come and go from the pond. Guest enter  this charming property into a welcoming entrance/dining room leading through to a spacious and an open plan lounge/kitchen retaining many of the original features including the exposed timber bearms, an ideal living space. The kitchen area benefits from an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment. The lounge area has two comfortable sofas and a cosy woodburner for those chilly winter evenings (complimentary 1st basket of logs included). The conservatory offers the perfect place to relax with views over the pond. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor along with a wet room, WC and wash hand basin. A steep spiral stair case leads from the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area to the first floor giving access to the king size master bedroom with exposed beams, vaulted ceiling and a separate dressing room. French doors lead onto a balcony overlooking the pond and a meadow beyond, the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee. The en suite to the master bedroom comprises of roll top bath, large walk-in shower, WC and wash hand basin.

Outside: A decked area with garden furniture and hot tub and views over the pond.  Approximately 200 meters from the property there are country walks with open countryside and footpaths.

Amazing cottage lovely quiet location for a chilled weekend break. Super comfy beds and sofas. Star gazing at night from the hottub is amazing. Fishing in the pond just outside on your decking is great as you can start from the moment your awake, even in your pjs if you wish.

Lovely character with old beams, wood floors and comfy furniture. Heated perfectly underfloor. Nice wood burner for evenings. A beautiful and tasteful lodge, charming building and furniture. Perfect for 2 or 4 as both rooms are a decent size. The view from the master bedroom is beautiful at sunrise overlooking the pond. Lovely converted barn, beautifully furnished, overlooking a large pond. Plenty of space with different rooms to relax in. Bedrooms with own facilities works really well. Very quiet. Owner welcoming and very helpful. Highly recommend.

A lovely property, easy to find, comfortable to live in. Nice hot tub, though maybe a bit closer to next-door than we'd like. Whilst the accommodation was adequate for a three night stay I would not recommend for any longer. The hot tub was lovely but you need to bring your own towels and there are no bath robes. Please note there is no washing machine, tumble drier or dishwasher. There was no welcome pack which was disappointing. This place is an absolute gem! Beautifully positioned, clean and well maintained. Super comfortable beds and pillows! Loads of space for socialising or relaxing! Everything we needed was available and the hosts answer questions quickly and couldnt do enough for us. This was a delightful stay and I wouldnt hesitate to return - highly recommend!

Quirky cottage with an amazing view over the pond, we really enjoyed our week here with our dog and did quite a few walks directly from the cottage. Hot tub was lovely to relax in at the end of the day and it was very peaceful there.

Stunning accommodation, tastefully decorated and providing everything needed for a perfect break. We slept upstairs and it was lovely to wake up overlooking the lake. Cart lodge is a truly delightful property. So quiet and peaceful. Photos don't really do it justice. We loved watching the birds and squirrels from the decking even the kingfisher. Hot tub was great. The lodge was amazing ,so relaxing watching and listening to the wild life just what we needed. The bed was so comfortable we haven't slept that well in a long time. Hottub was great well needed. Even Paxo the parrot enjoyed her stay in her cage on the decking saying wheres the fishes. Drew was a lovely host. We will be returning.
