This is the first time we have been to this area of the New Forest and found it less touristy and therefore more relaxed than the western side of the area. Beautiful location with great walks. We will be coming back both to the area and this house.

Property is in a great, quiet location: 20 minute walk from Milford, and minutes from walks along the Keyhaven Spit, which provides great walks and views. Plenty of local 'Footpath' signs too. Paces from The Gun Inn, but opening hours in May were haphazard. No problem with parking outside the cottage.

Although the property is centrally located we did feel as if it was in a car park. The house itself is ok but rather on the small side with the dinning room and lounge in one space.

Southerly is in a fantastic location, in Keyhaven, feels tucked away from the rest of the busy New Forest. Great Crabbing. Beautiful walks & Hurst Castle on your doorstep. Lovely walk to Miford and a cheeky coffee at the Needles Eye Cafe. The Chequers Pub is great.
