STUNNING LAKE DISTRICT ESCAPE SURROUNDED BY DRAMATIC LAKELAND SCENERY

This stylish property has been fully refurbished in 2016 to provide a tranquil escape for the whole family to relax and unwind together. Elegantly decorated and furnished throughout with expert attention to detail throughout.

The cottage is situated in the popular village of Braithwate, conveniently located to the A66. Surrounded by dramatic mountains, lakes and countryside the area is a haven for active folk both on land and water. An abundance of walks and cycle routes can be explored from the doorstep. Keswick is a tourist hot spot and provides an array of independent shops, eateries, galleries and parks to enjoy all on the doorstep of Derwentwater. The Theatre by the lake, Honister Slate Mine, Catbells Lakeland Walk, Kewswick museum are all within easy reach. For the adrenaline junkies the area provides the hugely popular 'Go Ape' alongside river rafting and tubing, climbing, ziplines and aerial adventure park for an unforgettable day out.

This is a stunning and beautifully decorated cottage throughout, with each room having their own identity whilst still having a sense of flow throughout. Starting at the large lounge / diner, this is a bright and airy space with magnificent glass bi-folding doors out onto the garden, and attractive and comfortable sofas to relax in. The dining area, surrounded by windows, brings the outside in, when  it might be a little chilly to sit outdoors. This is a great area for socialising and spending time with your loved ones. Walking down 3 steps at the other end of the lounge to the fresh, white kitchen, it is well-equipped to rustle up the evening meal, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. Moving through the cottage to the bedrooms, there is 1 king -size with TV and DVD as well as an en-suite shower room, 1 double with TV and DVD and 2 twins also with TV and DVD, all tastefully decorated and full of light. The main bathroom is on the first floor with a shower attachment on the bath and WC. Back downstairs, there is also a shower room with WC and a useful utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Continuing outside, there are well-kept private lawned gardens and a patio area - perfect for watching the sun go down with a  glass in hand after a busy day of exploring.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We loved the cottage. Stylish, clean,well equipped, very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms and a very good location. The slate floor and steps from lounge to kitchen were not toddler friendly and the garden could be made safer. However this is not a complaint, just to advise others with small children . It is a beautiful place to stay.

We had an amazing time the cottage was stunning. Full of comfy seats and beds. The grounds were gorgeous and loved the visits from the pheasants. The cottage was Full of modern gadgets we were so impressed. We cant wait to book again. Thank you for the wonderful memories of such a beautiful place.
