This spacious apartment with river views and roof terrace is located in the heart of the charming village of Appledore, set perfectly for a family holiday on the breath-taking North Devon coast.

This conveniently positioned property is built into the side of a hill, just a short stroll from the quayside where you can watch the boats come and go as they cross the estuary. With a myriad of narrow streets, quaint cottages, pubs, restaurants, craft shops and art galleries, and a slipway to a small beach, there is plenty on offer in Appledore. A short drive will take you to the large expanse of golden sands at Westward Ho! as well as horse riding, tennis, golf, and cliff-top walks. Across the river you’ll find the sand dunes at Instow and for walkers and cyclists, the disused railway line of the Tarka Trail is a great way to explore the local area.

This first floor apartment is entered via an internal staircase leading down to the accommodation, which is all set on one level. The well-equipped lounge/kitchen/diner enjoys views over the rooftops and offers a fridge/freezer, electric oven, hob and hood, dishwasher and microwave – there is a separate cupboard housing the washing machine. There is also a dining table and comfortable sofas in front of the hi-fi, TV and DVD. The three bedrooms all offer a relaxing place to rest after a day of exploring. There is a double bedroom with en-suite WC and TV/DVD and two twin rooms, which also have their own TV/DVD. The main bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. Doors lead out from the property to an internal staircase leading up to a small roof terrace with seating. This is a great place to soak up the evening sun and enjoy the beautiful views over the estuary – this is strictly for adult use only. There is nearby roadside parking, which is subject to availability – the nearest public car park is approximately a five-minute walk away.

A delightful location close to the quayside. Larger than it appears on the photos. We were a family of four with an 18 and 20 year old and made much use of the rooftop seating area. Lots of places to eat and drink. Plenty of live music and within easy reach of lots of places to visit.
