This part of Cornwall is excellent for wildlife and guests may spot otters, deer, badgers and foxes here. The property also enjoys direct access to the Camel Trail, perfect for both walking and cycling holidays. An award-winning vineyard, the Camel Vineyard, can also be found opposite the estate. The property is located a short car drive away from many fantastic beaches, attractions and villages on both the north and south coasts; these include Polzeath Beach, Padstow, Fowey and the Eden Project. Guests are free to explore the 40 acres of woodland estate on offer, where a beautiful nature trail passes through as well as a 1.5 mile stretch of the Camel River. Salmon and sea trout river fishing is available for a small charge, but must be booked with the owner in advance. Fishing in the private woodland ponds is complete free of charge.

The sleeping area features a king-size bed and dressing room, opening up to the lounge, where there is a wood burner, TV/DVD and iPod dock, making it the perfect cosy retreat for two. Inside the kitchen there is an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Just off from the kitchen is the shower room, which also has a WC. A washing machine can be found in the utility room.

French doors open out from the sleeping area into a private garden and decking, complete with picnic bench and a BBQ, perfect for looking out onto the surrounding countryside and the nearby vineyards. Ample off-road parking.

A lovely cosy cottage. Great location, good distance to most places we wanted to visit (30-40 mins travel) there were some lovely walks from the cottage. We had a wet week but the log fire was a nice touch in the evenings. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of hot water. If the weather had been better the garden would have been a lovely place to sit outRead more in. The Camel valley vineyard was a short walk away, worth a visit. Would go again. Hide

This cottage is perfect for couples, and their dogs, to get away from it all. The outside areas are very secure ,even for our nosy terriers, and the walks from the cottage are lovely, either just the farms private woodlands or out onto the Camel trail where another 16+ miles awaits you. Very private and very comfortable.

This is a nice clean and peaceful cottage, with plenty of near by places to visit, the property is dog friendly, and unlike some cottages we have stayed in, this one does not smell doggy at all. This was our second visit, and would go again.
