This cosy property is an excellent choice for a romantic break away by the ocean, also close to many of the great range of visitor attractions in the area.

Located on the outskirts of the village of Langtree, the property is conveniently located to explore the North Devon area. Dogs will love exploring on a long walk, join the nearby Tarka Trail, which is also a great choice for cyclists. The North Devon coast is just a short distance away and long stretches of golden sand at Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe. For a slice of local history, head to the town of Great Torrington, otherwise known as the ‘Cavalier Town’ from the civil war of 1646. Other nearby attractions include the traditional fishing village of Clovelly, Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor

The accommodation adjoins the owner’s house but ensures privacy throughout your stay. The open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner is light and spacious with a serene and cosy feel. In the compact kitchen, you will find an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Enjoy a romantic meal for two at the dining table in the window before settling in for the night in the lounge area, which features a cosy wood burner and TV. The king-size bedroom with en-suite wet room overlooks the pretty garden through dual-aspect windows, which in turn fill this room with plenty of natural light.

Outside, there is a picturesque patio area surrounded by beautifully stocked beds and planters. Relax in the sunshine with an evening drink as the water feature trickles away or take a walk through the owner’s raised bed and fruit garden. The wider garden is a acre of stunning formal garden with lawn.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The nearest pub, The Green Dragon, is now closed. Sat Nav users should put Langtree as their destination and then follow the directions as given.

The accommodation was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and generous. Unfortunately we chose the worse week of the year with Strong gales and heavy rain so ended up being grounded for 3 days mainly because it was a long slow walk to where the car had to be parked and the mud, parking was next to a field gatewayRead more. On our part, we went for a rest and not necessarily sight seeing so achieved what we went for. Hide

Truly Scrumptious was very comfortable and spacious with a lovely garden. Our dog was very welcome and enjoyed the wood stove as much as we did. I would recommend this cottage.

The property was excellent, nice relaxing place to be. The owners hand thought of all of our needs to make it a cosy place . Also as a dog owner, they provided lots of towels and everything to make our stay great having a dog .

A lovely Annexe, everything we needed, John and Anna gave us a great welcome, and lovely cream tea and extras, they made our Gsd feel at home with towels and seat covers. We thoroughly enjoyed their beautiful garden and Harry loved the top field for ball games.

Lovely and relaxing stay at truly scrumptious cottage! Very welcoming hosts and an insanely beautiful garden, with a view of tiny birds grabbing some tasty treats. The area is super peaceful and quiet with the rare tractor going by but barely audible. Lots of fun activities no more than 25 minutes drive away. Would love to stay again.
