Located on a cobbled street in the heart of historic Rye, this charming cottage has been decorated to both reflect its fascinating history and offer contemporary conveniences and comfort for all its guests.

Just steps from Rye’s lively high street, guests can visit the many quaint restaurants, cafes and stores this popular East Sussex town has on offer. Beach goers will enjoy a peaceful stroll along Camber Sands among many other seaside locations, while those looking to soak up a bit of culture should go to Rye Castle Museum for its outstanding collection of paintings and displays.

Step off the cobbled street and travel up a flight of stairs where a landing leads into the lounge at the front of the property. With an exposed brick chimney breast and feature fireplace along with exposed beams above, a comfortable sofa and leather armchair offer cosy spots in which to relax after a long day exploring the area. The kitchen beyond is a fresh and inviting space with its blue and white splash back tiles, white cabinets and exposed ceiling and wall beams. There is an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Upstairs the bedroom overlooks the rooftops of Rye to the coast beyond and is full of period charm, with slanted beamed ceilings, exposed brickwork and stylish bedside tables and lamps. There is also a fold away single mattress for a child. The bathroom features limestone flooring, fresh white tiles and a shower over bath and WC. The kitchen opens out onto a small balcony with table and chairs, a pretty spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee overlooking the East Sussex countryside while planning your day ahead.

Please note there are two very steep staircases in the property with no hand rails, making the property less suitable for children or people with mobility issues.

Its a lovely cottage, right in the heart of Rye. It was quite comfortable, especially once we got the heating on. You should be aware that inside the property there are 2 flights of stairs which are quite steep and that the bathroom is not on the same floor as the bedroom.
