Set in the grounds of the main house surrounded by 30 acres of fields and gardens, this wonderful holiday home offers peace and tranquillity all year round. With a popular pub nearby, guests can enjoy long strolls in the surrounding countryside followed by hearty meals of fresh, locally-sourced produce. Nearby Uckfield boasts a selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, ideal for collecting provisions for your stay. Within a 30 minute drive are two attractive towns, Lewes to the south and Tunbridge Wells to the north. Lewes has a quirky, artsy feel with many independent shops, a range of places to eat and its own brewery. Tunbridge Wells is an elegant town famous for its Pantiles, a gorgeous Georgian colonnade of shops and restaurants.

An entrance hall welcomes you into this house and provides a useful space to leave boots and coats. The lounge beyond is inviting and cosy, with an open fire and comfortable seating. Here you’ll find a TV, DVD player and family games for evenings in, while in the day you can enjoy views over to the pretty pond and grazing sheep beyond. The kitchen is light and airy and shares an open plan space with the kitchen table with seating for six. There is an electric oven and hob, washing machine and tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. Also on this floor is a king-size bedroom with pretty dressing table and views across the fields, while, down two steps from the kitchen, there is a single bedroom with lovely views over the pond. These bedrooms both have access to the ground floor bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Steep winding stairs lead upstairs where you’ll find a bedroom with a single bed and another bedroom with twin beds, also with an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, complete with charming sloping ceiling with skylight.

Outside, there is a large private garden with table and chairs and a BBQ for summer meals. An unfenced pond sits alongside the garden, so children should be supervised at all times when playing in the garden. This is a perfect for nature lovers as it attracts plenty of wildlife.

Such a peaceful location. Chauffeur's Cottage provides the perfect get away from hectic life. The cottage is deceptively spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. If the weather allows, the large garden provides ample space for sitting and eating outside. The two downstairs bedrooms and bathroom are helpful for anyone with mobility issuRead morees, so it suited our 3-generation family group well. The owners are friendly, helpful and respectful of the privacy of their guests. Fantastic place! Hide

A tranquil, homely, spotlessly clean and well resourced holiday home in an idyllic setting. The owners are welcoming and to hand if needed. Otherwise you can just enjoy the beauty, nature and peace. There are plenty of interesting and beautiful places nearby to visit. Beware of the potholes in the wee lanes. We loved it so much we shall go back.

A lovely cottage, weve now been there two years running meeting up with friends for a great weekend. A great rural location, handy for some lovely walks, a few miles from Sheffield Park (NT) very relaxing. Thank you.

This is a lovely and comfortable English cottage at a great location. Nice garden and full privacy. The owners are easily accesable and very friendly. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome with cake and wine. We stayed here for a week with the four of us and enjoyed the coast walks, Rye, Lewes, Hastings and London (by train from Buxted)

A warm and comfortable property, well equipped with all conveniences. The setting is outstanding, on the edge of the lake and spring flowers bringing bright colour to the landscape. The nights are virtually silent, a much appreciated amenity by our party.

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. The cottage was clean and homely. The linen was clean and of high quality. The owners left us some cake and a bottle of wine which I thought was a wonderful touch.
