This stunning shepherd’s hut has been beautifully designed inside and out to provide a cosy hideaway in a tranquil rural setting. Sleeping just two, this is the perfect retreat for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Short breaks from £275.

Situated in a peaceful location in Kent’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this enchanting shepherds hut offers a rural escape from everyday life. When not exploring the many footpaths that forge the rolling countryside, guests can head into nearby Benenden to pick up fresh produce from the local butchers and shops, or enjoy a delicious meal at the village pub. With two vineyards nearby and the Kent and East Sussex coast not far away, there is plenty to do and see in this spectacular pocket of the South East.

Inside, the hut has been decorated to evoke a calming and spacious feel. There is a small kitchen area with a hob, microwave, mini fridge and coffee machine, perfect for starting the day with a bacon sandwich from the local butcher. Guests are also provided with a standard welcome pack, that contains milk, bread, butter, jam or honey and a small bottle of wine or apple juice, with the option of purchasing a ‘special basket’ by prior arrangement to include more produce. There is also a butler’s sink with plate rack above, and a wrought iron table and chairs for dining inside at night. The double bed sits at one end of the hut beneath a pretty window bordered by wooden shutters with decorative cut-out hearts. Beneath the bed there is plenty of storage for your stay, together with a hairdryer and wooden hangers. The en-suite shower room with shower and WC with sandstone tiling, a power shower, toiletries and even slippers.

Outside the hut is a peaceful garden area with a table and chairs for enjoying al fresco meals using the Charbroil Professional 3400S gas BBQ with a side ring, there is also a large cool box behind the hut for extra cold storage. As you dine, you will notice the grazing sheep and llamas in the paddocks beyond - a truly unique and memorable experience.

Our first time in a shepherd's hut. Can't imagine a better, so secluded location with outdoor BBQ, loungers etc. The cold store behind the hut was extremely useful with ample space to keep food as cool as a fridge.

Loved staying here. It was perfect for these 'Covid' times being remote with a gorgeous view of sheep, llama & other animals. Mrs D (the owner) looked after us well by providing a hamper of treats. Accommodation was comfortable & very clean. Quality bedding & towels provided. Hubby was probably a little bit too tall (6ft 2) for bed but he got used Read moreto it. The gas BBQ was very useful to cook on as also had a side burner for pans. Used the fire pit & chimenea in the evenings. Lovely little holiday. Hide

We spent 2 nights in the Shepherds Hut, which was perfectly lovely. It was a Xmas present for my husband, which he really loved. We were very lucky with the weather, however.as sunshine all the time we were there. It was 30th April - 2nd May, and with 2 week old lambs, sheep and a Llama to look out on, in beautiful surroundings, no complaints.
