We chose Beauvale Priory as it looked comfortable, had outside space to explore and suitable with 2 young children. We had the cottage overlooking the pond and field with chickens, ducks, sheep, peacocks and geese, this was very exciting for our 2 year old. The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a weeks stay. The cafe cRead moreakes were delicious and as an added benefit we were there when they had their beer festival. Which was relaxing the whole family enjoyed! Hide

The cottage was amazing and the views were stunning. We had never been up north before so were pleasantly surprised. We couldnt fault it at all and would definitely recommend this to anyone else who would like a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Well worth a visit!! This is a wonderful cottage. It's comfortable, well equipped and totally charming. We visit family regularly and hope to stay again. The tea room at the same site is equally fantastic. Take wellies - the beautiful chickens, geese, ducks and peacocks are very friendly but poo a lot.

We stayed in Abbey View cottage and the log fire was a plus. The cottage had everything we needed to have a nice self catering holiday away from the stess of every day life, and the animals were an added plus.

A lovely cottage with lovelier hosts. Ann was very welcoming and brought milk and cake which was gratefully received. Good walks from the cottage, lovely environment. It did get busy when the cafe was open, but it didn't impact on us greatly. Clean, well equipped. great place to stay.

The cottage ended up being an ideal base for a few weeks. It was warm, comfortable, and very peaceful. Anne and Tony ensured we had everything we needed. The tea rooms are highly recommended - great food.
