Perfect for exploring North Wales, and nestling in a peaceful and picturesque village, this traditional former miner’s cottage retains many original features in contrast with the recent refurbishment to incorporate modern, contemporary interiors.

Penmachno is a traditional quiet village with a pub and cycle trail centre, and is close to Sarn Helen. There are many fantastic walks and cycle trails right from the door. This lovely cottage is ideally situated for exploring Snowdonia National Park, home to Wales' largest peak, Mount Snowdon. Nearby Betws-y-Coed is a fantastic base for adventure training, and offers a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and a host of outdoor activities. Discover Surf Snowdonia with its wave surf lagoon, Zip World Caverns with one of the longest zip wires in Europe and Bounce Below, a trampoline park set in an underground cavern. You can visit National Trust Bodnant Garden, Conwy Castle or take a trip on the steam railway.

On entering this charming and traditional stone cottage, you will find yourself in the spacious and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With comfy seating, DVD and a cosy wood burner. TV that connects through the WIFI and allows you to view catch-up TV or your own internet TV subscriptions.The light and airy lounge is a welcoming space, ideal for snuggling up in and relaxing at the end of the day. You will also find a charming and bright dining area, also with a wood burner, and the attractively designed kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need during your stay including an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge and washer/dryer. Going upstairs, you will find two comfortable bedrooms. There’s a comfy king size room and a cosy bunkbed room with additional single bed. You will also find a shower room and a separate WC.

Stepping outside, you can relax and unwind after a fabulous day in the enclosed garden with furniture and BBQ. Lockable storage space is available for bikes and canoes.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cottage, it is the perfect base to come back to after a day of exploring. The bed is super comfortable and there was a surprise welcome pack when we arrived, the small things definitely make a big difference, we cannot wait to visit again. Thanks Jeff.

We loved the cottage as soon as we saw it, cute, cosy and clean. Great hosts, friendly and helpful. The cottage has everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable break. We rebooked while on holiday we were that pleased! Dog friendly, WiFi, nice interior, beautiful location, comfortable bed, log burners! Peaceful village .. the list goes on

The cottage is beautiful and very well thought out. There was everything we needed to cook Christmas lunch. The owner was extremely helpful without being in any way intrusive. Although there is no parking at the property there is lots very close by and there was no problem in stopping outside to unload the car.

Lovely cosy cottage. Well maintained and everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The owners of the property are very thoughtful and make sure you are settled in well when you arrive. Beautiful walks nearby or via a short drive. Highly recommend staying here and we hope to return again in the future.

The cottage was in a lovely area with lots of things to do near by, or a little drive away there is a great deal more. The beach is not far away. The cottage had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It was lovely to sit in the well fenced garden and know the dogs could not get out.

Lovely cottage, very well kept and fantastic location. The cottage has everything you need and the home owner was very welcoming with great communication and a lovely welcome basket with bread, butter, milk etc. Location was ideal the village is very quiet with a local shop 5 minute walk however we often dined out at Betws-y-coed which is a 10 minuRead morete drive. It was a very well equipped gorgeous cottage in a wonderful location- would highly recommend and definitely stay there again. Delightful and thoughtfully equipped cottage. Lots of wood supplied for wood burning stoves (lovely on cold evenings). Very comfortable and set in beautiful scenery, with ample walks (clearly set out in maps provided) and plenty to do nearby. Very welcoming village. Lovely for a restful break or for an active adventure.

Such a cozy little cottage. Log fires and cosy sofas made a perfect end to every day. Close to so many beautiful places to make our visit perfect. The local people were so welcoming and friendly. Lots of local walks to enjoy, swimming, railways and so much more. Weve already recommended it to several of our friends. Its a real catch.

Everything was very good and exactly as descibed. We had a lovely letter from Jeff and Emma a few days before we left. This contained excellect information, directions and contact details. We then received an email shortly after we arrived to make sure everthing was Ok and we didn't need anything. This was a really nice touch.

The view from the garden is stunning - we felt like we had stepped off the big bad world for a few days. The king size bed is really comfy - in fact I think I slept better than in my own bed! The cottage is an ideal base for walks and day trips to the lovely surrounding area. We will definitely be back next year.

A cosy cottage which was more than comfortable for our family of four adults, It was fabulously well equipped with a lovely garden and great views across the countryside. It was ideally located just outside Betws-y-Coed with some great walks nearby. We would definitely visit again to explore this beautiful region of Wales.

Great spot. Good base for walks without having to jump in the car. Went to the pub. Difficult times with Covid so sat outside in the beer garden. Food in pub a little "pedestrian".

Sarn Cottage is located in a sleepy village near Betws-y-Coed. The village shop is conveniently located and the house is well placed for exploring Snowdonia. Nice two bedroom cottage in a great location for access to Snowdonia national park. Nearby car parking close enough to not pose a problem. Conwy falls a 5 minute drive away, and Llanberis about 30 minutes.
