A delightful 19th century cottage, which has been refurbished with a fresh but characterful look.  Set in the rural hamlet of South Huish, you will be within easy reach of many beautiful beaches and coastal towns.

 

Set in a peaceful hamlet and surrounded by tranquil countryside, perfect for families and couples You will be within easy reach any beautiful beaches and coastal towns. These include the fishing villages of Hope Cove and Salcombe, famous for its beautiful estuary, boating and golden beaches, and Thurlestone Sands, great for sunbathing, swimming and water sports. The surrounding countryside is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers country walks quite literally from your doorstep. The South Hams offers a wide variety of days out, including Dartmouth for shopping and its beautiful castle, or take a trip to Agatha Christie's house. The market town of Kingsbridge three miles away provides all the main local amenities such as shopping, supermarket, cinema and leisure centre.

At the very heart of this property you will find a large farmhouse-style kitchen with ample catering facilities including a Range cooker, integrated oven, microwave, integrated fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with a washing machine and a separate WC. The spacious lounge offers a Smart TV , DVD and wood burner set into a stone fireplace. Visitors from October - March will receive a complimentary basket of logs. Leading off from the lounge there is also a garden room, which is an ideal place to enjoy breakfasts, lunches and family dinners.  The room also has a soft seating area with a TV  and a free sat box – a haven for children of all ages. Upstairs there are three cosy bedrooms including a master double, one twin room and a bunk bedroom(with full size single size mattresses). There is also a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is a patio and garden, easily accessed from the kitchen, making it ideal for al fresco dining. The delightful garden wraps around the house, with a well-stocked array of flowering shrubs; it is an ideal area to enjoy the summer sunshine, BBQ's, or a family game of football or cricket. There is ample parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This was our second visit to the farmhouse. Another wonderful stay. Bags of space, very private and beds are so comfy. Lovely outside area and very cool in the heat.

A fantastic family farm house in a secluded rural setting. This property has a fantastic garden and outdoor table, so when the weather was warm we ate outside for every meal. Inside the house is a great family home - welcoming, warm and relaxing. Very quiet location and 30 mins walk to the beach (so short enough to avoid extra car journeys).
