A traditional cottage situated at the heart of Charlestown, a harbour village with an industrial past. This property is ideal for exploring both Charlestown and St Austell.

This cosy and traditional cottage is located in the heart of the harbour village of Charlestown. Charlestown was built between 1790 and 1810 to help build up the industry of exporting copper and clay, so it is rich in industrial history. The famous tall ships can be seen here, while the village has also appeared in several films and TV programmes. St Austell, the largest town in Cornwall, is just a few miles away, with a larger selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage is also the perfect base for exploring Cornwall, with attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan just a short drive away.

This property retains many of its original features, which include exposed beams and wooden floors. On the ground floor is the lounge, kitchen and dining area, which is all open plan, opening up the space on this level. The cosy lounge area features a Smart TV with Netflix and Catch Up and a wood burner effect electric fire, while the kitchen features a single oven with integrated dishwasher, fridge with freezer box and a washer/dryer. Up on the first floor, accessed by a steep, open-tread staircase, is the double bedroom, with further character added by the sloping ceiling. The bedroom also has an en-suite shower room with a WC. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, electric and electric heating are all included with this property, as well as a welcome pack to help you settle in.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage is clean and has most things that you would need for 2 people as a base for Cornwall. Good value for money and a great location for the harbour , pubs and restaurants. The only downside to the property was the unexpected ammount of traffic as the property is on the corner of a busy junction which starts from 6am onwards, the cottage haRead moreving no double glazing . the cottage is really nice and cosy (compliments for making such a small space so attractive and the olcation is just great) - except for the fast that traffic practically runs through the lower floor of the building. We would have liked to know that it can be really noisy at times.

Small, perhaps good for 1 or 2 nights as it is a noisy busy area. Good location for getting to beach and eden project. No children, as the road and pub noise is not a good environment for them.

Cobblers Cottage was very good and cosy. We did find the stairs a bit difficult (Due to our age). We didnt do any cooking, but there were cooking facilities for making a simple meal.

The cottage was very well equipped and the thoughtful welcome pack was appreciated. The basics were there, washing up liquid etc. It was clean and comfortable, perfect for us two, with big bath towels ( my pet hate, tiny towels). Lots of places to eat on the doorstep, supermarket a short drive. No outside sitting area but right on the harbour side Read moreand beach. Lovely Hide

We had a great stay, the property is in a good location and we were impressed with the welcome Prosecco and cream tea. However, the collage is small but adequate for our stay and in need of a little more TLC to make the stay perfect.

The cottage was very cosy and it was ideal for the two of us and our little dog The welcome pack of prosecco and clotted cream tea was a lovely touch. It is situated in an ideal location for the amenities Charlestown has to offer but great for exploring the rest of Cornwall
