We really enjoyed the beach side location of the cottage. The extreme tides made for added interest. The beach is very safe for children. The train station was close by and we could walk along the coastal path to other places and get the train back. It also meant we could easily travel by train to other destinations nearby. We had a wonderful time at Providence House. We already miss the views and sounds of the sea. The flat has equipped everything needed. It's about 45min by train from Edinburgh and about the same time by car to St. Andrews. Great place for walks along the beach. We loved watching the dolphins play in the Firth of Forth!
