A modern stylish semi-detached cottage, with a king size bed and a bunk bedroom, this is the perfect escape for small families and couples. With award winning pub's on your doorstep, there’s no need to worry about washing up.

Unwind in the peace and tranquillity in the heart of the charming Peak District village of Barlow. Barlow lies right on the eastern fringe of the Peak District National Park. Within easy reach is the spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell, famous for the original Bakewell pudding. Spend days out walking the Edges or wander around local market towns and picturesque villages. Chatsworth House, Hardwick and Haddon Halls are all within twenty minutes drive which provide fun for the whole family. The location provides numerous footpaths from the village, leading to explore the surrounding countryside. Located near two award winning gastro pubs, there’s no need to worry about washing up.

This cottage provides a stylish and comfortable stay throughout. The first feature you will notice in the cottage is the cosy lounge and its feature fireplace. The lounge benefits from comfortable seating and a smart TV and dining table large enough for the whole family to enjoy. Nearby is the well-equipped kitchen and all the essentials you will require for your stay with an induction hob and oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.  Ascending the staircase leads you to the first floor with two bedrooms, the first a lovely large room with a king size bed, and the other another good size room with bunk beds and TV/DVD which would suit children and adults alike. Also located on this floor is the tasteful family bathroom with a modern style, featuring shower over bath, hand basin and WC.

To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed patio and garden to enjoy those clear Peak District evenings or beautiful sunny days, with patio furniture right outside your door this is a lovely space to relax after a day exploring the Peaks.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage is superb holiday accommodation .Good size for 4 people Well furnished and laid out In a good location For walking ( good area for this as i have mobility issues but managed 2 local walks ) In a nice village with a good shops a short Drive away The restaurant/pub next door is very nice and good parking available there Also close too otRead moreher attractions such as Chatsworth All in all a great holiday For those who have never been the peak District this is a good place to start Hide

We had a fantastic week at the cottage, what a beautiful and well maintained village. The cottage is in a perfect position for exploring and our daughter is already asking to go back. The Tickled Trout is lovely and we would highly recommend the food. All in all we loved it and can't wait to visit again.

Lovely cottage which is well equipped with everything you need. The shower was fixed for us before we even realised it needed fixing!! The location of the property is perfect for exploring all of the Peak District and everywhere we wanted to go seemed to be no more than 30 minutes away. The Tickled Trout across the road is really lovely, as is the Read morePeacock at the other end of the village, with both serving delicious food. I would certainly go back to this cottage in the future. Hide

Some work required by the owners to improve the property and the standard of cleanliness. Shower needs to be replaced. Kitchen cleaned properly between occupiers and basic utensils provided including more than one tea towel.

Thistle (Wellside) Cottage is a lovely modernised old property decorated in pastal shades and having quality furniture. Ideal for a family, or four adults if they dont mind bunk beds, with plenty of space. Delightful fully enclosed shared garden which suited our Bernese Mountain dog just fine. Lovely cottage nice location, food next door very nice and staff very friendly. The only thing I would say if you dont mind a shared garden you will be fine as the lady next door is lovely. The only problem we had is our 9 month old puppy gets excited with strangers and we felt as if we couldnt relax as our puppy kept going into next door to see thRead moree lady. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and cosy cottage. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived and were left a bottle of wine, jams and delicious home made oatcakes. wellside cottage is comfortable cosy and decorated to a very high standard. It had everything we needed and everything worked perfectly. Excellent instruction pack and welcome hamper. Friendly helpful staff at the Tickled Trout next door and good food there too

The cottage was perfect for our family of four. A great base for exploring the Peaks and visiting family. It was very clean and comfortable. We ate at the Tickled Trout which was excellent, highly recommended. We hope to return in future to the cottage and the pub.
