We stayed here during the autumn half term and had a lovely time. The cottage is very well appointed and better in real life than the photos. It is a fair walk to the beach (about 1.5 miles?) which we didn't try as the weather was shocking. But it was really lovely to come back after a day on the beach to the cosy cottage and the real fire makes a Read morebig difference. Well appointed rooms and while it is small it is perfectly appointed and everything working and maintained to a good standard. Hide

If you're looking for a lovingly restored, beautifully appointed, clean, comfortable, quiet cottage, with lovely views from the patio garden out over the valley, you couldn't do better than Holdstone Cottage. The decor is traditional and blissfully unfussy; the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped; and the owner could not be more helpful. It'Read mores quite a long walk (half an hour or so) to the seafront, but don't be put off: there's an excellent bus service from almost outside the front door! Hide

Walk to harbour is a little longer than a short stroll down hill, lovely view from the garden and main bedroom. Very comfy and homely and we had a lovely relaxing holiday .
