Attractive cosy cottage in a tranquil location, just a short drive from foodie haven Padstow and close to many beautiful beaches.

This property is located in a countryside location, which feels a world away from the stresses of everyday life. However, despite its seemingly remote location, it is, in fact just two miles from Padstow, one of Cornwall’s most popular towns. Padstow has a reputation for the quality of its foods and this has been rightfully earned. Rick Stein is perhaps the town’s most famous resident and visitors will find it hard to miss his range of shops, restaurants, deli and fish and chip shop. There are also many other restaurants to try here, as well as the interesting National Lobster Hatchery and the opportunity to take a delightful boat trip across the estuary to the upmarket town of Rock, with its pretty beach.

This cottage is a real hidden gem and makes an ideal place to relax and unwind. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has an impressive exposed stone wall and a wood burner which keeps the house warm and cosy, whatever the weather. With TV and DVD to keep everyone entertained. Passing the dining area, guests will find the kitchen which has a lighter and airier feel, and is well-equipped with an integrated oven with hob and extractor hood, fridge with ice compartment and a butler’s sink. The adjacent utility area houses the washing machine and dishwasher. The shower room with WC is also located on the ground floor, as is the master bedroom, a double with TV. The steep characterful cottage-style stairs lead to the twin bedroom, which, due to the style of the property, has low, sloping ceilings.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden with patio area, which has outdoor furniture and a BBQ, as well as a separate lawn. There is off-road parking for two cars on the property’s driveway. Guests may bring up to two dogs at an additional charge per dog of £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter. Should guests wish to book a stay for a larger groups, there is a sister cottage next door, The Old Mill (THOLM), which can sleep an additional four guests.



Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage set in a very quiet location. Farm shop next door selling delicious eggs and sausages and theres the touring park up the lane for baked goods (need to order in advance). Easy drive down to Padstow. Was a little disappointed we couldnt walk down to the estuary given how close we were. The second bedroom has very limited head height anRead mored is accessed via a narrow staircase but is fine for children. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Hide

The cottage itself was lovely. My only criticism of it would be the very limited headroom in the second bedroom - really only suitable for children. Access to the surrounding countryside was very restricted and we had to drive to walk our dog. The location is good with a very good beach at Harlyn (dog friendly) and intersting shops at Padstow.
