This impressive property is situated in an elevated position in the popular coastal town of Torquay and is within walking distance of the beach and harbour, and has been lovingly fitted and furnished.

The town forms part of the English Riviera and is famed for its palm-lined promenade, sea front gardens, marina, and within minutes of the town centre you can discover some of Devon's most beautiful beaches. You will also be perfectly placed to explore the beautiful South Hams, boasting an array of picture postcard villages, vibrant towns, such as the bustling Totnes and a selection of salubrious coastal destinations, such as Salcombe and Dartmouth. As you're so close to the sea, take a ferry ride to Brixham or Dartmouth and enjoy  these bustling locations renowned for fresh fish and eateries. Other attractions and places of interest in the area include the historic naval city of Plymouth, Exeter, famed for its stunning cathedral and shopping, The Princess Theatre, Paignton and Dartmoor Zoo, Kent's Cavern, Dartmouth Steam Railway, Torre Abbey and numerous National Trust properties.  A must for kids of all ages is the model village and Bygones in Babbacombe, only a couple of miles from this accommodation.

Stepping into the property you will find yourself in a period hallway featuring high ceilings and to the right is an entrance into a lovely light and spacious lounge with Smart TV, DVD player with an extensive range of DVD's and open-fire. Alternatively head left and into the kitchen/breakfast room. This area is well-equipped with underfloor heating, an island in the middle with bar stools style seating, TV, electric oven with 6 ring gas hob and warming oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. From here French doors lead to a small conservatory/garden room with seating and this takes you into the dining room, with vaulted ceiling and a perfect place for enjoying a family meal together. Finally on the ground floor there is a shower room with shower and WC and a useful utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading up the stairs to the first floor there is a king-size bedroom Smart TV/DVD, feature fireplace and en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower over bath and WC and another king-size bedroom with Smart TV/DVD. On the same floor, you'll find another bathroom with rainfall shower over bath. Heading up the second flight of stairs to the second floor there is a twin bedroom which is open-plan with landing and a further twin. There is also a bathroom with rainfall shower over bath and WC on this floor. The accommodation doesn’t end there and venturing back down the stairs and into the annexe next door you will find a pretty open-plan studio style bedroom with double bed and TV with DVD, and this leads through to a kitchen area with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is also an en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower over bath and WC in the annexe.

Heading outside, a large enclosed garden with lawn, patio area, garden furniture and BBQ waits to be enjoyed. There is private off-road parking for 4 cars but please note that the entrance to the driveway is relatively narrow. There is also on-road parking available for additional cars and a permit will be provided in the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Very well equipped property for a large party, especially for a special celebration with plenty of glasses and crockery. Really great having 4 bathrooms in the main house. We didnt have a problem parking 3 large cars on the drive.

Very close to beach, shops, restaurants, harbour. Excellent location. Parking ok. Own parking for up to 3 medium to small size cars. Very narrow drive way need to be directed in and out if you dont want to damage your cars. Need to be extra, extra careful driving in and out of driveway.

Beautiful house great location. The harbour, pubs and shops just a walk down the hill. The beach is roughly a 10 minute walk away. The house is suitably equipt, all rooms are a great size, we were a family of 9 and there was plenty of space for us and our 4 year old with all their Christmas toys. A great place to spend new year, would highly recommRead moreend this house. Martin and Sarah the owners are there if you need them checking with you regularly that everything is okay. The cottage is in a quiet location but just a stones throw from the Center. It is located on a steep road down to the town but that is the same everywhere in Torquay. There are two good pubs at the bottom of the hill and then you are seconds away from all the facilities in the town Center.

This property is excellent. The space and facilities were fantastic and the location made it so easy to get right into the heart of Torquay. This was a perfect base for the two weeks we spent there and would certainly use it again.
