This beautiful cottage nestles in a paradise for keen walkers and cyclists, with a superb choice of foot paths and trails to explore. You can discover the Ceiriog Valley, Tanat Valley and Shropshire Hills, or navigate the 177 miles of Offa’s Dyke, and see The Pistyll ,a dramatic 240 foot waterfall in Llanrhaedr which is the tallest single drop waterfall in the UK. There are plenty of pretty villages dotted around the area including Llansilin and Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, with a choice of excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants. The ancient market town of Oswestry offers a unique range of shops, eateries, galleries, events and a host of attractions to enjoy. There are National Trust properties nearby including Erddig, Chirk and Powis Castles.

On entering this attractive property, which was imaginatively restored in 2016 and which retains plenty of original features, including exposed beams, and which offers great views from every window, you will find yourself in the cosy and traditional open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The snug and welcoming lounge is an ideal space to relax in, with comfortable seating, tasteful furnishing, Smart TV and a traditional wood burner. You will also find a charming dining area, and the stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Heading up to the first floor, you will find a cosy and spacious super king-size. There is also a wet room, complete with shower and WC.

Stepping outside, you can relax at the end of a fantastic day and admire the glorious rural views from the enclosed garden, with patio, lawn, furniture and BBQ. Off-road parking is available for 2 cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage thoughtfully laid out. Superb peaceful location and stunning views. Extremely comfy bed and luxurious shower. Ideal getaway for a couple with or without their dog.

The cottage was in a fantastic location, the views down the valley were amazing. The garden was lovely to just sit and look at the views and the dogs enjoyed it. Steps down to the property very steep, so would not advise anyone with mobility problems. Cottage had everything you needed, might be to small if you had two dogs the size of labs. Rustic and quirky. If you like sleek and modern, this is not for you. Sofa is quite low and not easy to get up and down from if you have leg problems. 20 uneven stone steps down to cottage so not for those less able. A lovely cosy well equipped cottage away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We we lucky to be there at Easter to enjoy the excellent weather and enjoyed eating meals al fresco with the birds and butterflies for company, not forgetting the many sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and has all the amenities you could need. The wet room has a fabulous shower which is nice and hot. A nice little cottage with lovely views across the mountains and sheep grazing all around. Great dog walking location and the Jack, the farmer, who owns the land opposite is a really nice guy and happy for you to walk your dogs responsibly in his fields. Lovely location and cottage. Very cosey and warm. Good shower and comfortable bed. Had all you need for a relaxing stay. Be aware that the path to the cottage is stone steps and would be a problem for someone with less able mobility.

This cottage was the perfect place to retreat from life and find some quiet stillness. Michael and Pat have created a wonderful haven to rest in whilst enjoying the splendour of a Welsh landscape to view and explore. Personally, I was very happy to just sit and be.

This is a stunning cottage, cosy and comfortable, refurbished to a high standard but the character is not compromised. The view from all windows is superb. Location is ideal, situated off the beaten track but close to amenities in the nearest town. Fully enclosed garden too, which is great for dogs.

An extremely well presented and well appointed cottage set in a beautiful welsh valley with stunning views all around. Perfect for using as a base to explore the Welsh countryside or as a bolthole to get away from stress and strain of daily life. Comfortably big enough for two adults and two 20kg dogs. We all cant wait to go back!!

A lovely cosy cottage we really enjoyed our stay, even the dogs just loved to sit and take in the views as they are just amazing. Lots of great local walks and sites to do and see. The only down side was we had to come home.
