Set on the fringes of the delightful Peak District village of Chelmorton, there is a local village pub for kicking off muddy boots and relaxing after a day spent outdoors. The stunning Chatsworth House, Farm Shop and Gardens are a short drive away. The popular towns of Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton provide an array of independent shops, cafes and pubs to enjoy. Surrounded by open fields you will find public footpaths from the doorstep to explore exactly what the stunning Peak District countryside has to offer.

Approached via the sweeping driveway from the road which will lead you to the complex which comprises of three barn conversions and secluded touring caravan pitches. Located in-between each end barn you will find the welcoming accommodation. The first thing you will notice is a huge two floor glass window which lets the light flood into the entertaining area. Stepping into the accommodation the very spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner welcomes you as a retreat to switch off, relax, unwind and enjoy the good company. The space has a large dining table to seat 12+, for everyone to gather round and socialise. Following through to the kitchen which boasts everything you need for a comfortable stay such as fridge/freezer, washing machine, electric Range oven and hob and dishwasher. The accommodation benefits from three upstairs bedrooms, 2 doubles with en-suite bathrooms, with shower over bath and WC. 1 twin with en-suite bathroom, with shower over bath and WC.

Outside is a large enclosed communal courtyard with ample seating for alfresco dining or BBQ’s. Also, an enclosed private patio area opens out from the lounge. There is plenty space in the adjacent grass field for more outdoor fun and games and dog walking. The site offers ample off-road parking.

Basic accommodation for a family of 4, it does not provide comfort for 6 persons. Although there is ample seating for 6 persons, however the ensuite bedroom? could be a problem.

Our third stay...fabulous house and location....great walks from the house, en-suite per room ideal for couples especially in the current COVID climate. Local pub the Church Inn fabulous for evening meals after a long day walking and only a short walk away (just over a mile)...remember to take a torch. Will definitely be back.

Great location and lovely cottage. Very spacious and has everything you could need in the kitchen complete with 10 seater dining room table and large lounge area. Has shared bbq for the other two cottages which is clean and ready for use but would bring your own equipment. We have spent a fabulous weekend at the cottage. Everything was fabulous and the whole complex was to a high standard. The dog field was certainly a plus for us having two spaniels with us. They could run all their energy off and were confined in a large area. We visited the local pub for evening meals which was about a mile away and the food was dRead moreelicious. The cottage is lovely, tastefully decorated with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. We enjoyed sitting in the two courtyards, one private one shared, at different times of the day to get the sun. The view from the shared courtyard is lovely and we spotted various birds, rabbits, hares etc. . It is a quiet area and Chelmorton is a good base fRead moreor visiting the Peak District. Excellent accommodation, very clean & well equipped. The accommodation worked really well for our family dynamic, three big bedrooms all with en-suites, lots of space around the cottage, quite private. We were really impressed, well definitely be returning at some point. Thank you!

It was a pleasure to stay in this lovely cottage - good quality fittings and furniture, lovely atmosphere. Owners put a lot of thought into extras like the bike store, grassy area for dogs to play, recycle bin area. Sadly limited walks directly from the door step but then spoilt for choice in the local area.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was a cold wet week but the cottage was lovely and warm and dry. There are lots of walks to do in the local area but it is a short drive into Buxton.
