Traditional stone cottage sleeping three, located in the historic city of Wells, just a short walk from the famous cathedral and a choice of restaurants and bistros.

This property enjoys a fantastic location just a short walk from Wells city centre. Despite being known as England’s smallest city, there is plenty to delight visitors to Wells, not least the city’s stunning cathedral. There is a good range of independent shops in the town, which make it a lovely place to spend an afternoon browsing and sampling the food in the local eateries, including the well-regarded gastro pub which guests will find just 200 yards from the property’s front door. Further afield, but still within easy reach, local attractions include Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, historic Glastonbury, and the discount shopping village at Street.

Coming through the front door of this attractive period property, guests take one step down to enter the cosy lounge. It is easy to relax here, with the tasteful muted colours, two comfortable sofas, warming flame-effect electric fire, TV, DVD, and hi-fi, making it the perfect space to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchen/diner just across the hallway from the lounge, has a table seating four, and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine. Stairs lead from the kitchen to the first-floor accommodation where there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom is a pretty double room with a beamed ceiling, whilst the other room is a restful single room. The bathroom, also located on the first floor, has a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, there is a modestly sized but lovely patio garden with garden furniture and a BBQ. Roadside parking is generally available close to the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

There's a lot to like about this cottage. It's in a great location for the centre of Wells (which also means it's a on quite a busy road). It's well equipped, warm and cosy. The owners have clearly tried to think of their guests and provided lots of homely touches.

Lovely cottage, beautifully clean and comfortable- and so well equipped with everything we could have needed for our week's stay. Very well located in the centre of Wells. Wine and goodies awaiting our arrival were also most appreciated. Would definitely book again

What a lovely cottage in a great location, cosey and comfortable perfect for us and our dog Poppy. 3 mins from country side walks one way and the stunning cathedral and city. The city is dog friendly and the Crown was a regular pit stop for cider and food. We normally do beach breaks but we enjoyed the city and property so much we plan to return neRead morext spring. The owners very thoughtfully, put Christmas decorations around the cottage and left us some milk, cheese and Prosecco plus other Christmas treats!
