A cosy hideaway for couples found at the edge of Upper Brailes within walking distance of some fine amenities including a French bakery.

This holiday property is very cosy and comfortable. A former blacksmith’s forge, it is now a lovely detached cottage at the edge of Brailles village. Upper Brailes is a characterful village with some fabulous walks originating from it. Visit the village website and consult Jim’s Walks which details up to ten different circular walks – most of these walks are dog friendly. Further afield, visit Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Oxford and Bicester Village for shopping or sightseeing, and the RSC theatre is also within reasonable driving distance. The ancient market town of Shipston-on-Stour is great for antique shops, local pubs and eateries.

On arrival at the holiday property you will find an entrance hall leading through to the lounge/kitchen/diner designed to embrace open-plan living. The lounge area has a comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, and a wood burner to keep the room warm and cosy in the evenings. The kitchen area comes equipped with electric oven and hob, a microwave and  fridge with ice box.  Use of a washing machine can be arranged. The bedroom contains a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as twin singles on request). There is an en-suite shower room with WC for convenience too.

Outside is a south-facing courtyard that can be an effective sun-trap, and is also ideal for that evening glass or two of wine, creating a great space for you to relax in the comfort of your own holiday home. There’s ample parking too. Please note due to the location of this property a car is essential.

Beautiful cottage located in an excellent position. Cottage is compact and well equipped, very comfortable bed. Very helpful owner. We have stayed twice and would stay again except that we are returning to Australia. Definitely recommend it.

What a find! Great location and very comfortable. Lots of places to eat out. The log fire made it very cosy and the host Barbara is very helpful. Although it is right on the road there was no issue with road noise.

A lovely well thought out cottage making intelligent use of a small space without making it feel cramped. Mrs Hart is a welcoming and friendly host and the village is beautiful. Gorgeous landscape with peaceful walks and friendly locals. Visit the village shops for papers, delicious bakes and high quality meats.
