  • Idyllic location by the River Avon with private fishing rights and a nearly golfing range at Welford Golf Club.
  • Perfect rural retreat, ideal for keen walkers and cyclists in the heart of Shakespeare’s country

The property lies on working farmland complete with farm shop selling fresh produce. Just half a mile away you will find good local shops and pubs, in Welford-on-Avon. With the River Avon boarding the farmland, guests can benefit from private fishing rights or perhaps head to the nearby golfing range at Welford. For a relaxing day in the Cotswolds, the nearby beautiful Cotswold villages sit waiting to be discovered. Maybe enjoy a leisurely walk or hop on a bicycle to Shakespeare’s riverside town of Stratford-upon-Avon and ride along the towpath, stopping off for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink in one the many riverside pubs or cafes along the way. Whatever your interest, this is a superb location.

Arriving at the entrance, you walk through the traditional cottage door to find an attractive hallway inviting you through to the  light and spacious lounge where you can put your feet up and escape with a good magazine or simply gaze out at the superb views over the farmland and share a glass of wine or two. If settling in for the evening, there is a fabulous, spacious country kitchen that is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer and dishwasher to save you doing the dishes. The separate dining room has a chunky pine table and chairs for six. Also on the ground floor, you will find a double bedroom with ensuite shower room with WC, with a next-door utility room to put wet or muddy coats and wellies after a day out touring. Here you will also find a twin bedroom (with a third bed if required) and ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Heading outside through the back door you will find an enclosed private courtyard with BBQ and furniture, so you can relish in your beautiful farmland surroundings with the sun on your skin and fresh country air helping you to relax and renew. The cottage was very close to Welford On Avon village centre but also in a quiet countryside location. The owners of the cottage were friendly/approachable and accommodating. The cottage was clean, well presented and comfortable.

A comfortable, well-fitted, converted barn on a working arable farm. Part of a group of converted buildings but self-contained and private enough. Friendly owner and any problem sorted quickly. Farm has a shop with own and local produce at good prices. In the country naturally but in handy position for Stratford and and National Trust, etc, house &Read more gardens and pleasant countryside. A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location and ideal for visiting Stratford upon Avon and the Cotswolds. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and was spotlessly clean. The owner, Richard, was on hand to provide information if needed and we enjoyed our chats particularly about the Ashes cricket. We hope to return.
