A fine example of a period cottage complemented by touches of contemporary, this property makes the ideal home-from-home for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful Cotswolds.

Markets and fairs have been held in Stow-on-the-Wold’s square since the 12th century, and they still continue today, with events held on various dates weekly, monthly and yearly, so you could well catch one if you check local listings before heading on holiday. A bustling town with an array of shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs, it’s a popular town that tourists from all over travel to visit, and also claims to be home to England’s oldest inn, The Porch House. Heading further afield, Chipping Norton is within easy reach, and there are many attractions for the whole family to enjoy, including Cotswold Motoring Museum, Cotswold Farm Park, and Bourton Model Railway Exhibition.

Entering the property, the first room is the well-equipped kitchen, which comprises of an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a downstairs cloakroom with WC. Leading from the kitchen is the cosy, open plan lounge/diner. Original features such as the beamed ceilings and stone work are well-mirrored by the comfortable furnishings and coffee table, with a beautiful open fire and TV, perfect for cuddling up and watching a film during colder evenings. The dining table is large enough to seat four, ideal for sitting together to enjoy any home-cooked meals. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other with twin singles, and both benefitting from build-in wardrobes. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and WC.

The lounge opens onto the south-facing patio, which features garden furniture and a BBQ, making it perfect for al fresco dining in the sunshine and leading to a mature, lawned and fenced garden. There is private off-road parking by the front door.

Great location; quiet but 5 mins walk to town centre. Perfect cottage with lovely real log fire. Central heating efficient making it very comfortable over winter months. Nice welcome pack and seasonal decorations. Would definitely return.

Pleasant cottage, excellent location. Kitchen small but well equipped. Not much room in cupboards for storing food.
