In its rural location, it’s still within easy reach of the market town of Charlbury. The town has four good pubs and a selection of interesting shops. The main line station offers a regular service between Oxford and London, or between Malvern and Worcester. A regular bus services runs to Woodstock, and you could also visit Blenheim Palace, one of the area’s top attractions. Charlbury is close to the beautiful towns of Burford and Chipping Norton, and a little further afield are Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton in Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stratford-upon-Avon and Cheltenham.
On arrival at the holiday accommodation, you will find the entrance hall with a utility area. Close by is the lounge; this spacious communal area has ample comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, iPod dock, and a hi-fi. Central to the space is a wood burner that comes with a basket of logs. The kitchen/dining room comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a dishwasher, and a fridge/freezer. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with a zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin by arrangement in advance). It has an en-suite shower room with WC too. On the first floor, down a narrow hallway and ducking through a doorway, is the other double bedroom which has a sloping period beamed ceiling which gives the bedroom old world charm and character. There is a bathroom with WC close by for convenience.
Through the French doors that lead outside, there is a pretty cottage garden with a patio and a BBQ which is fully enclosed and dog friendly.
