This lovely, spacious two-bedroom cottage is found at the edge of Otmoor, and a few miles north of Oxford.

This inverted two-bedroom cottage provides a comfortable blend of classic and contemporary accommodation. Being close to Otmoor and the RSPB Nature Reserve this is a peaceful, popular place for nature enthusiasts. Bring the binoculars for some wonderful sightings of lapwings, wigeons, redshanks and other visiting birds, or take leisurely walks to nearby Islip , Beckley or Stanton St John for the local pubs, or walk into the village and take the children to the  newly installed play park or visit a local village stall and purchase some home grown produce.  Another great plus is that this rural location is close to Oxford, the M40 for London, Windsor or Birmingham; the Cotswolds are less than 30 minutes away, and it’s ideal for touring the wider area too.

On arrival at the property, you will find a useful entrance hall and the first double bedroom that contains a comfy king-size zip-and-link bed, 32" TV with Freeview and DVD. Upstairs are the communal areas, including an L-shaped lounge with ample comfy seating, a 43'' Smart TV which you can access Netflix, Prime Video etc., with attached CD player and Wi Fi – the perfect space for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. There is a dining table that seats four and an office space for workaholics too. Close by is the kitchen area that comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, Nespresso coffee machine, a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washing machine with a enclosed utility storage area. The second bedroom is off the lounge/dining area and it offers two adult-size bunk beds. There is also a bathroom nearby with a shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is a large lawn area which is enclosed suitable for children to run and let of steam and a restful quiet gravel garden with a seating area for the adults to relax and unwind in, which is enclosed by a wall and a plant border area. Off-road parking is available too.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a lovely stay at Manor Barn. The cottage had everything we needed and more. If we would have thought on we would have taken some games for out in the garden as it was big enough. The location was brilliant for Oxford and some surrounding tourist attractions such as Bleinheim Palace, Cotswolds Park and Zoo etc. The host was lovely, checking iRead moren with us when we arrived and leaving a lovely welcome gift. Manor Barn is in the perfect location for visiting Oxford and the beautiful surrounding countryside of the Cotswolds. The local pubs/restaurants are mostly happy to have dogs. There is a lovely spacious living room/dining room and the master bedroom has a ginormous and very comfortable bed. We stayed here over Christmas and it was perfect for us. The cottage is really comfortable and we enjoyed spending time indoors. It was also a great place to come back to after walks in the surrounding countryside. We liked the peace and quiet but also found it easy to get to and from Oxford. We would love to stay here again.
