This light and airy cottage sits within the grounds of the owner’s impressive home accessed by a separate driveway overlooking the little white town of Bideford, the Torridge estuary and Tarka Trail.

For those looking to relax, the area is tranquil and the scenery is breath-taking. The Tarka Trail (traffic free) can be seen from the property and Bideford with a range of quayside shops, pubs, restaurants and pannier market is a short walk. Sandy beaches close by; Westward Ho! with 2 miles of golden sands, and beautiful Instow and Appledore are 10 minutes away. For kids, the Big Sheep and Ultimate Adventure Centre are within 2 miles. Why not visit RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal, or enjoy National Trust cliff-top walks.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We have 2 Boxer dogs and we were all made welcome. A real home from home, Ideal for dog owners close to many great beaches and places to eat and drink that allow dogs.

We had a lovely holiday at Otters Leap - the cottage was perfect with everything we needed. The owners were great too! We loved the layout and it was perfect for us and our teenage boys. We used the hot tub every day. Great location for exploring North Devon and some excellent beaches for walking the dog - what more could you ask for?!

Otters rest was an ideal base to get to some lovey areas and the Tarka trail was great for biking.We may book again it was so great.If walking you will definitely up your heart rate walking back up the hill to the property!!!.The peace and quite was just like home so very much appreciated.

What a place to stay! We're used to staying in caravans where you are lucky to have a sharp knife! Otters Leap was very well kitted out, everything you needed was there and the finishing touches of a small milk, some tea and coffee and a bottle of prosecco really were the cherry on top. Very clean, private and the view was great, we would have stayRead moreed longer. We had a minor issue where the electric tripped out on the heaters and hot tub but Tony fixed within 15 minutes. Quiet and peaceful location. All amenities available, hot tub especially welcoming. Easy access to coastal resorts if desired. Information folder useful for local facilities and eateries as well as for emergencies if needed. Great for quiet family holidays.
