A quirky cosy couples retreat, set in an elevated position commanding unrivalled countryside and sea views. Perfect for exploring Snowdonia National Park and the coast and countryside in North Wales.

A stroll from this unusual and welcoming property takes you to the shop and beach or head to one of the nearby towns and villages for a host of attractions, shops and restaurants to enjoy. Take the water taxi to Barmouth, a steam train ride on the Tallylyn Narrow-gauge Historic Railway or discover life underground in Corris Slate Mines. Play a round of golf in coastal Aberdovey, visit the Ynys-Hir RSPB reserve or the pretty waterfall at Dolgoch Falls. There is a plethora of footpaths and cycle routes in Snowdonia National Park, along the Dyfi and Mawddach estuaries and the miles of sandy beaches along Cardigan Bay coast to discover.

Walk up the slate steps to deck with artificial grass leading to front door. As you open the door to the open-plan studio style accommodation you will see it is home from home with a cosy wood burner, with ornate reclaimed fireplace, 1 double bed and TV with DVD/Blu-ray. The birdcage dining table with matching stools is a perfect for a romantic dinner for two or a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. There are 2 comfy directors chairs that fold away so you can sit and enjoy the view or kick back and relax with a movie. The kitchen area caters for all your needs with the little extras alongside the electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Whilst you are in the kitchen let the sunshine in and open the French doors on to the decking and listen to the sounds of the waves and birdsong. After a full day out make the most of the large shower, drying off with fluffy towels and retire to the double bed with freshly laundered linen and decadently watch TV.

Outside on the decking you will find the BBQ, bistro table and chairs to make the most of the stunning rural and sea views. If you are keen on cycling and canoeing there is a secure bicycle and canoe store available. Ample parking. The property is located next to the owner's accommodation but privacy is assured.

I cannot fault this place at all. Gorgeous and surprisingly decent sized hut sat on top of Wales it would seem! Its a beautiful location as we woke up to the view of the sea every morning. Its on the owners grounds which are gorgeous anyway, Derek is so lovely & friendly. We had a wonderful stay at Hazel Hut.The owner Mr Shakespeare was lovely and friendly, but although Hazel Hut is in the grounds of his home we only saw him the once, so had complete privacy. It was very well equipped. Had a lovely bathroom with a good electric shower, great kitchen area with full-size fridge freezer, cooker and a microwave and comfRead morey living area with freeview tv, dvd player and it's own wifi hub. Peaceful retreat with wonderful views. Everything we needed was packed into this perfect holiday hut. Derek was such a lovely, helpful host who never once intruded on our privacy. Hazel Hut was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The shower was good, the bed comfortable and the fridge large and spacious for all our provisions. The location was perfect. The setting was private with sea and mountain views from the windows and the bed and every night was peaceful. What a great Holiday! Mr Shakespeare was the perfect host and such a nice man. The accommodation was spotless and comfy and very well equiped. The surrounding areas were beautiful and quiet and lots of little places scattered close by. A must for all to visit!!

Hazel Hut is a perfect getaway for two. A wonderful base for exploring the coast and mountains nearby by bicycle and foot. Then at the end of the day return to the comfort of a homely base which is fully equipped and relax with your feet up in front of the wood burning stove.

Very much a perfect place to relax, just change the mattress and thicker pillows. Cant fit anymore in the place but Derek has it quite homely for short break. Love washing the dishes on my knees!!!

Having treated myself to a "me time getaway" I don't think I could have picked a nicer place. Hazel Hut was a beautiful little place that you could relax in. Train station and nice pebble beach a short walk down the road. The Garthangharad pub at the bottom of the road serves a lovely Sunday lunch.
