We had a lovely week in this cosy cottage. The location is good for pubs and restaurants of which there are many. Hastings is very dog friendly and Hastings Country Park is lovely for dog walks.

The cottage was a great base for our week in Hastings. It was so close to the old town, the seafront and George Street. Much to see within driving distance. A quirky building that was very much a home from home. - very clean and comfortable. Well presented and lovely bedlinen. Really pleased that we found One West Street and chose it for our break.

It was a lovely cottage but dusty in places and we had to clear some cobwebs away. Couldn't use the hoover as could not connect the pipes together. There was lack of air in the basement and the futon was very uncomfortable. The owner was very friendly and on hand when she was needed.

The cottage is small but perfectly adequate for two. We did plan on bringing our dog but in the end decided not to, which was good as I had not realized how many stairs the property had. It is situated over 3 floors with all stairs wooden and quite steep, I'm sure our dog in his excitement would have fallen on these. Amazing location. Wonderfully quaint place with all the amenities that one would need. We ended up spending more time than planned in the cottage and absolutely loved it. Philippa also let us check out late , as our train back to London was in the evening. Cannot think of a single issue. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is very quaint and quirky, but beautifully done out. The outside does not give a clue to the delight within. Very central. Not ideal for elderly or infirm, and this would also apply to our 4 legged friends, as narrow wooden stairs - 3 flights. However my pooch happily stayed in kitchen. We had a great time the cottage was in an excellent position for restaurants etc. The only down side was being woken up by seagulls at about 4 oclock every morning and then the bins being emptied bottles from the restaurant behind.

A delightful cottage with loads of character ideally situated for exploring Hasting's Old Town & 1066 country. Comfortable bed & shower did not disappoint. Thoughtfully decorated & furnished throughout. Internal stairs add to the charm but could be an issue for some.
