This charming cottage is over 300 years old and has been fully renovated in 2017, boasting charm with features such as original oak beams, wood burner and Aga with stunning views all around.

This detached cottage is located on the boarder of the Peak District National Park within the owner’s grounds. Situated close by to Chesterfield this ensures the location has fantastic transport links. Chatsworth House and Gardens is on the doorstep and boasts a fantastic day out for the whole family, the farm shop is not to be missed. The nearby town of Bakewell is a popular stop with those who visit, being home to the famous Bakewell Pudding shop. The area provides a wonderful selection of country pubs, cafes and restaurant to enjoy. Not forgetting you are spoilt for choice on the surrounding countryside walks, cycle paths and bridleways to explore.

Stepping inside the cottage you are welcomed by the charming country cottage kitchen/diner. The kitchen provides everything you will need for a home from home stay, such as combo microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The heart of the kitchen is the beautiful Aga, which is fully working, and warming. The dining area presents a traditional farmhouse table and the ideal base for those lazy breakfasts whilst taking in the surrounding views. Stepping down a handful of steps into the lounge area the stylish charm continues. There is a wood burner for those cosy nights in and a large flat screen TV and comfortable sofas to relax on. Upstairs the cottage offers two bedrooms, one king-size with en-suite shower and WC, and one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into twin upon request) with en-suite bathroom with slipper bath, enclosed shower and WC.

Outside the garden area has a patio, seating and built in BBQ, perfect for warm summer evenings and dining alfresco. There is an allocated parking area for two cars next to the cottage.

Lovely quite location easy off road parking, clean and welcoming cosy and comfortable. Very near lots of attraction and walks like Mam tor, then home to the log burner and feet up the chimney We had such a relaxing holiday we wished we could have packed the cottage and taken it with us.

Besom Cottage is everything described and pictured and so much more. The dcor, function and amenities are perfectly executed. Included fast 4G WiFi for social media addicts and workaholics. Just a tip, buy some healthy Duck food like Wildthings, the local water foul practically mug you anywhere theyre present which is highly entertaining. A beautiful cottage excellently renovated to a high standard, clean, airy, fully equipped with a lovely garden and parking. Great location to get around with a lovely pub for food only a mile away. Very quiet and peaceful, kids loved the WiFi and views, we loved the comfy beds, walk in showers and cosy feel to the cottage. This is a wonderful cottage on the edge of the Peak District, everything was very close to visit and the information from the owners was very helpful.If you want peaceful place to stay I would recommend Besom cottage.

Beautiful cottage in immaculate condition, very comfy beds and warm cosy kitchen / dining room. Lovely meal at the Fox and goose . Cottage in great location for exploring the area. Bakewell well worth a visit and especially nice on a sunny day and had a lovely lunch at the Manners Pub in the beer garden.
