This charming cottage is over 300 years old and has been fully renovated to a high standard, boasting charm with features such as original oak beams, wood burner and Aga with stunning views all around.

This detached cottage is located on the boarder of the Peak District National Park within the owner’s grounds. Situated close by to Chesterfield this ensures the location has fantastic transport links. Chatsworth House and Gardens is on the doorstep and boasts a fantastic day out for the whole family, the farm shop is not to be missed. The nearby town of Bakewell is a popular stop with those who visit, being home to the famous Bakewell Pudding shop. The area provides a wonderful selection of country pubs, cafes and restaurant to enjoy. Not forgetting you are spoilt for choice on the surrounding countryside walks, cycle paths and bridleways to explore.

Stepping inside the cottage you are welcomed by the charming country cottage kitchen/diner. The kitchen provides everything you will need for a home from home stay, such as combo microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The heart of the kitchen is the beautiful Aga, which is fully working, and warming. The dining area presents a traditional farmhouse table and the ideal base for those lazy breakfasts whilst taking in the surrounding views. Stepping down a handful of steps into the lounge area the stylish charm continues. There is a wood burner for those cosy nights in and a large flat screen TV and comfortable sofas to relax on. Upstairs the cottage offers two bedrooms, one king-size with en-suite shower and WC, and one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into twin upon request) with en-suite bathroom with slipper bath, enclosed shower and WC.

Outside the garden area has a patio, seating and built in BBQ, perfect for warm summer evenings and dining alfresco. There is an allocated parking area for two cars next to the cottage.

Five star. Fantastic location with wonderful views and local walks. Comfortable and well equipped. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We would highly recommend a stay here. One of the best cottages we have stayed at in over 35years of renting in the UK and abroad.

First rate property. Jon and Emma both very helpful, perfect owners in my opinion. Cottage itself is fantastic, bags of character and in a lovely position, very handy for Chatsworth House. We had snow just after we arrived and lower than freezing temperatures for most of the holiday. We really appreciated how warm and cozy the cottage was. We enjoyed our week in this lovely cottage. The underfloor heating makes the 300 year old cottage snug and warm. Everything we needed was there, owners popped in to welcome us and answer questions (they live in the main house) and were very nice. The internet is slow as its a rural location, but it works! We all had a really great time at Besom Cottage, the location is stunning and very quiet and the cottage had everything you could need. (We had 4 adults and 1 x baby in our group) Cottage is also within easy reach of all the local attractions. The Aga was a great addition to the Cottage and I would advise people not to be afraid of using it as its Read morenot as daunting as you may think. This is a lovely cottage. Wed definitely recommend it to others. The cottage was delightful and so comfortable and cosy. The location is excellent to explore all attractions in the Peak District area and yet still feel "away from it all" at the end of each day. In a nutshell this was our third stay and we booked again for next year while we were there. Besom Cottage simply adds value to the whole Peak District experience with its rustic luxurious charm, tranquil rural setting and elevated scenic views. We also fell in love with the free range chickens which have appeared since our last stay.

We had a great time in this lovely cottage, which had all the facilities you could need. The owners provided tea and coffee as well as some wonderful eggs and the traditional Bakewell Pudding - a nice touch. I would certainly recommend this cottage. Besom Cottage is just perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. Very well equipped, comfy beds and we had fun using the aga. Down a country lane with stunning views but still within easy reach of the Peak District.

Wonderfully located and designed cottage. Offers the opportunity for total relaxation in the cottage and the surrounding area. Many villages, walks, pubs, restaurants and shops within a short drive. Owners couldnt be more very helpful.

Stunning holiday cottage in a lovely rural location. If you want quality accommodation this is the place to stay: clean, comfortable beds and seating, thoughtfully furnished and an easy to use aga. Much to do within 30 minute drive including a great choice of walking.

This is a comfortable, well-presented, high-quality holiday accommodation. The views across the countryside from the property are wonderful and the location is peaceful. Bakewell is a short drive away providing access to walks along the Monsal Trail.
