Nestled within the heart of the village of Burrington, this property offers a slice of English rural life. Step out on foot to reach the stunning Mendip Hills, which lie in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and boast wonderful scenery and an array of wildlife. Only a short drive away, the historic spa city of Bath is famous for its wonderful Georgian architecture, Roman Baths and selection of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.

This spacious barn has been beautifully converted to retain its original charm through exposed oak beams and flooring throughout. The ground floor is open plan and full of natural light with a kitchen at one end that opens out onto the courtyard. Here you will find an integrated oven with hob and extractor hood, fridge with ice compartment and microwave. Dine at the table nearby before retreating to the cosy lounge area, which benefits from ample seating to include a sofa bed, TV/DVD. Also on the ground floor is a spacious shower room with WC. Upstairs in the eaves, the double bedroom enjoys uninterrupted views over the rolling countryside and the bathroom next door features an indulgent free-standing bath.

Outside, al fresco meals can be enjoyed in the private courtyard area with seating and a BBQ. Guests also have access to a shared garden, which is perfect for dogs.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfect place to relax. Lots of walks nearby. Great location to visit bath, Bristol. And lots of other attractions. The cottage is comfy and pretty. Everywhere seems to be dog friendly. Even for our bouncy spanial.

This is a beautifuly converted barn in a small development. The owners are friendly and informative, it's location is ideal for walkers/cyclists, very quiet and no light pollution. It was a pleasure to stay there and would definitely return.

In a prime location for walking & exploring the gorges, it was exceptional & easy to drive to varies cities & tourist areas.We found the cottage (stable barn) wasn't suitable for our needs, it wasnt dog safe and was not secure. The gates/fences are not fully to the floor & smaller dogs can easily escape into neighbouring fields.The cottage was dirtRead morey, I appreciate dogs stay (as did ours) but needs a deep clean.Not private enough as next door's cottage has to walk through your garden. Beautiful converted barn. Welcomed with a pot of hand picked apples from onsite. Clean and comfortable and made to feel welcome. Information pack detailing local pubs, shops, attractions and honest reviews from the owner. When asked about pubs to grab some food - given a run down with directions. Very comfortable accommodation. Bathroom upstairs and a shower room next to the kitchen area. Open plan staircase which might be a problem for some elderly people. Tucked away off the main A38 road out from Bristol. SatNav was easy to use and got us there without problems. Nice views across rolling fields and friendly cows for company. Great accommodation , in a beautiful quiet village . Roz the owner was lovely and friendly.We took our two dogs and it was great to be able to let them out in the garden as it was secure. If we visit Somerset again we would definitely use this cottage .
