A peaceful base for a relaxing holiday surrounded by countryside, this contemporary barn conversion is set within a small working farm on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Milton Abbas.

Set within a small working sheep farm in the heart of North Dorset, this stylish property offers views over surrounding fields, spacious rooms and stabling, making it the perfect spot for riders and nature lovers alike. The picturesque village of Milton Abbas is the subject of many photographs and has a pub and historic abbey, which is home to tea rooms during the summer months. An abundance of pretty towns, villages and beaches are accessible from here, with a good selection of pubs and shops for those essential supplies. An inner hallway leads to a ground floor double bedroom with adjacent wet room, which has a shower and WC offering increased accessibility. Also leading off of the central hallway is a full height lounge with wood burner, TV and DVD making this the perfect place to unwind after a day spent exploring. Rising from the lounge is a staircase, opening onto a mezzanine floor and giving access to a king-size bedroom and a shower room, complete with shower and WC. A single bedroom is also on this floor (with additional pull out bed available on request), which has its own entrance and also interlinks with the king-size bedroom.

Venturing outside you will find a generous decked area with garden furniture and a BBQ, accessed via steps and a ramp. Off to one side you will find the hot tub. Located directly outside of the kitchen/diner and lounge, it’s the perfect spot for enjoying a meal outdoors. A utility area is available within adjacent farm buildings, with a washing machine, tumble dryer and boot/dog washing area. This is a lovely barn conversion, on the outside it looks quite plain but inside it is wonderful, perfect for families with plenty of space. Log burner is great, as is the hot tub. Location is great and perfect for walks/runs as just up the lane are a series of bridal paths through some lovely woodland. Would highly recommend

Sarah and Family went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming. The lamb and mint burgers and lamb koftas are definitely worth trying!

We had a superb time here in Milton Abbas. The property is a working farm with stables, used every day. This did not bother us but it may bother others who want that 'perfect' country setting. The owners are warm and welcoming, any problems we had, (which aren't worth mentioning) were addressed straight away. The disabled facilities (I'm a wheelchaRead moreir user) were excellent. Ramped access, wide doors, downstairs large wet room fully fitted with hand/grab rails. We would recommend. Hide

Very comfortable, light airy rooms. Farm setting a delight with young lambs and beautiful horses accessible to see but not in any way intimidating. Friendly and very helpful owners.

The owner Sarah is a friendly helpful person, if you want to take your horse with you this property is ideal as stables on site , if I were to recommend any improvements it would be a washing machine for only clothes in the property as there was only one in another barn and as no onsuite locks for the bathroom doors,
