Location great for restaurants, town & Busway into Cambridge (bus B outside Waitrose in St Ives, return bus B bus station Cambridge). Parking easy and currently free at Dolphin Hotel close by. Had unfortunate issues with both showers & kitchen sink - this could happen in any property. The owner prompt in trying to resolve. Negatives: noisy neighbouRead morers at night in normally a quiet passageway until 2 am + later. En suite room only window sealed shut. Outside area needs tlc. Hide

We loved our time at Quackers and enjoyed exploring St Ives. The cottage is spacious and well equipped (although two bedrooms do not have doors so may not be suitable for younger children). The garden was a lovely sun-trap. We had marvellous meals at the Ivo Lounge (went twice) and the River Cafe. We also enjoyed a self-drive boat cruise with the eRead morelectric boat company and enjoyed walking the dog just over the bridge in the water meadows. Couldn't have asked for a lovlier weekend away. Fab location. Great facilities and communication during our stay was great. Ideal for a weekend get away. Not sure for any longer as seating in lounge not suitable for 6 guests.

Quackers is a lovely cottage, perfect for our party of 3 adults and a dog, although it would easily accommodate a larger party. The location is perfect for St. Ives, just a few steps from the beautiful quay and no traffic noise at all. The yard is a suntrap and our dog loved the access directly from the kitchen diner area of the property.

We all very much enjoyed our stay. The house was in a very good location, close to the river and also to restaurants. It was a bonus to have access to outside space. The house was full of character and nicely furnished. We would recommend it to families or groups looking to base themselves near Cambridge. St Ives is a very pretty town.

Really lovely little cottage, right by the river. Great location, and very comfy. Lack of doors to some bedrooms might be an issue (especially if, like us, you've brought your dog!) but I wouldn't let that put you off this beautiful property. Check in and out was very easy - we would happily stay again!

Nice cottage in a super location. Comfy beds (please note access to upper twin room is via a steep and winding staircase). Good showers, plenty of hot water. Some areas were very clean (notably the kitchen) but other areas were in need of greater attention. Lounge had comfortable seating for 3 people but other chairs were uncomfortable. We had a wonderful holiday using Quakers as a base to tour Oxford, Cambridge and London. Huntingdon train station is a short drive and well connected. Parking is a short walk and free on the other side of the bridge, although you have drive around the town to access it (cant drive over the historic bridge). Follow signs for Hemingsford, London RoadRead more to get to it. You can drive on the Quay to drop/load car. Lots of lovely places to eat in St Ives and all a short walk from the cottage. Hide

A great home from home while we were there. Great location in centre of town and good for local amenities, river walks. Two bedrooms don't have doors, so noise/privacy might be an issue for some. Quackers is a characterful property comfortably accommodating up to 6. We enjoyed our time at Quackers.
