Other buildings of note in the village include The Old Grammar School, attended by William Wordsworth and the former Courthouse. The elegant kitchen with slate floor adjoins the dining room has an Aga and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, wine fridge and dishwasher. The washing machine can be found in the convenient ground-floor cloakroom where there is also a WC. Three of the property’s bedrooms are located on the first floor, two of these are tastefully decorated doubles, whilst the final bedroom is a pretty twin room. The Hall was ideal for a Christmas lunch for 11, including both carnivores and vegans, showing the capacity of the Aga and the supporting oven and the scale of provision of trays, pots and crockery. It was also a delight that Lakeland had put up a tree.
