Lovely spacious, cosy and quaint cottage in a quiet corner of The Lake District. The Lodge is the perfect getaway spot. Secluded and so peaceful with an abundance of wildlife all around the property. A warm cozy cottage with character and charm in every room. A large secure garden was perfect to entertain our dogs even on the wet days when we didnt fancy venturing far from the cottage. A lovely welcome pack including Mr DuffinsRead more Coffee (that has forever ruined the bland coffee i had got used to at home) was waiting for us when we got there making arrival a real treat. Hide

The Lodge is a delightful cottage in a beautiful position. Spacious and well equipped with a large, enclosed garden that is perfect for dog owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay. It is well placed for visiting all the places of interest around Windermere and beyond.

This cottage was a lovely place to stay with two dogs in comfort. It was an easy 10 minute walk down to the path around Windermere Lake and walking round to Castle Wray was a gentle 1 -2 hour walk around the lake. The garden is a lovely size, with plenty of outdoor seating and was lovely and quiet.

A very interesting house in a beautiful setting with a big garden which is safely enclosed and which our dog loved. It's only a short walk down to Lake Windermere with walks in at least three directions once you reach the shore . A perfect place for a restful holiday. The team in Hawkshead are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
