This is a rather compact cottage in a lovely rural setting. It is an uphill walk on narrow roads from the village and, without streetlighting, a car is necessary for safety. Woodys Nook is a perfect cottage for two people. It is well equipped and located in a rural setting but a short walk from Hawkshead village. The cottage is quiet and private so we found it very relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the lounge had a lovely view. Highly recommended.

Had a very comfortable stay at Woodys Nook, the homemade cake on arrival was delicious. The enclosed garden was a godsend for our 2 dogs. Whilst the property is only a short walk to the village, this is via a very overgrown footpath and fields, parts of which would be boggy certain times of the year. (we were lucky). We didnt risk the narrow windinRead moreg road with dogs which is considerably further. We would recommend The Queens Head and Poppi Red for food. Note: the TV is freesat. Lovely owners Hide
