Lovely, well stocked, comfortable cottage. Husband especially liked the open fire! Wi-fi could sometimes be a little bit spotty, and as we had some bad weather (biblical rain!) we spent a lot of time in the cottage. Very rural! So no phone signal. Very quiet and beautiful cottage and location. Perfect to get away from reality for a while. Short but hilly walk to the nearest pub. We as family of two young children thought it was an ideal place for them to play. They spent alot of time by the shallow brook. Making the most of the fresh air! We would definatly go back.

This cottage is rather remote, which we loved. It is an old building with wonky walls and lots of character, but with all mod cons, perfect. Very well equipped with everything you need, and the owners are delightful and just next door if you need anything. The orchard is a fab spot to run around with the dog, and the sitting room is cosy with big lRead moreeather sofas and a wood fire. Beds are comfy, wifi is good. You can walk directly into Grizedale forest, and the nearby Eagle's Head pub is very nice. Hide
