Spacious holiday home situated within private gated grounds, with use of large gardens, and enjoying a fantastic location in the Dorset countryside, just twenty miles from Bournemouth’s sandy beaches.

This property is located in a rural part of Dorset, and yet is just three miles from the Georgian town of Blandford Forum. At the heart of the town is the historic market place, clustered around which is a range of independent shops and pubs. The surrounding area has much to offer visitors, including the handsome manor and gardens of Kingston Lacey, a beautiful National Trust property. For a fun family day out, Gorcombe Farm, which is just one mile from the property, offers a selection of outdoor adventure activities, including archery, paintball, dirt buggies, and quad biking. For a more sedate, but equally fun experience, a trip to Bournemouth is not to missed, especially for those who enjoy a proper seaside holiday, with sandy beaches, seafront entertainment, and safe bathing conditions.

A grand driveway leads up to these four properties situated within a private gated complex. From the hallway, guests come through to the spacious, light-filled lounge/diner with its large, deep sofas from which they can enjoy the TV with Sky channels. A dining table is situated to one side of the room, next to the patio doors which open onto the outside space.

The kitchen, though modestly-sized is equipped with everything that guests will need, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. One of the property’s bedrooms is located on the ground floor: a king-size room which benefits from an en-suite shower and WC, and its own TV with Sky Channels. Upstairs, there are two further bedrooms, which also both have their own TV with access to Sky channels. The first of these is a relaxing king-size room with a seating area and en-suite shower room with WC. The third bedroom is a generously-sized twin room, which boasts an en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC. There is also a cloakroom with WC on the ground floor.

Patio doors from the lounge/diner lead out to the property’s garden, which has plenty of space to relax and play on the lawn, as well as a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ. Children will love the outdoor space, as there is a Swingball set, badminton net, and racquets. It is also possible to hire a hot tub for your break, at an added cost, which adds an extra layer of relaxing fun to your break. There is adequate off road parking available.

Spacious, and well stocked cottage. Enclosed gardens were brilliant especially as we had a toddler with us

We were disappointed with the outlook because building works were going with scaffold around building next door and machinery visible in the grounds spoilng the views.which were not advised were going on which may affected our decision to hire.
