A spacious open-plan studio in a pretty village setting, not far from the beach at Lyme Regis and all of the amenities the surrounding area has to offer. The perfect spot for a romantic break.

Beneath the owners’ contemporary Georgian style house yet offering a great degree of seclusion, this stylish studio apartment has space in abundance and is ideally situated for visiting both the coast and countryside, which are both within walking distance. The village itself has a pub, shop and post office for those essential supplies as well as a thriving green, which the property overlooks, where you will find tennis courts, a football pitch and cricket club. There is a footpath near the property which is ideal for a short walk and for exercising your four legged friends. If you’re feeling energetic a walk alongside the tranquil river to Lyme Regis will take you through a picturesque wooded glen and is a wonderful way to get to the beach, historical streets and a varied selection of pubs and restaurants overlooking the famous Cobb and harbour. Set in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, you will find this picturesque area has an abundance of quaint towns and villages to explore, which are ideal for walking and cycling.

A gated path sloping down the side of the house leads you to the private entrance. On entering the studio via a small step up, you are met by a spacious open-plan room with numerous seating areas, ideal for settling down with a good book. Firstly you will find the large conservatory, which is adjacent to the kitchen/dining area and has an attractive outlook over the garden and rolling hills. The beautiful handmade kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. Next to the kitchen is the shower room, which has a shower and WC. Back through the kitchen is the cosy lounge space, which is the ideal place to relax after a day exploring as it has a TV and DVD and glass doors opening on the terrace. Sectioned off of the lounge is a peaceful space containing a double bed.

Venturing outside you will find a veranda with garden furniture which is a beautiful spot for dining al fresco, taking in the peaceful surroundings filled with birdsong. Heading back to the front of the property is off-road parking for one car.

Very clean and comfortable, with nice countryside veiws. A Good shower with plenty of hot water. There are some nice walks but if you have anytrouble with mobility they may be difficult as quite hilly. ( but thats Dorset) The local pub only cooks on certain days and seems to be more of a sports Pub. ( this was end of September so may be different iRead moren Summer) Plenty of nice Pubs and Restaurants in Lyme Regis. Also you can hear foot steps overhead from the main house. Hide

We had a lovely stay. The studio was comfortable and amazingly spacious - a really nice place to hang out. And the location is great - nice views from the studio and loads of local walking options. We travelled by train to Axminster and bus to Uplyme, which was very straightforward.

Lovely studio set up, great views, owners very friendly and helpful. Some noise from upstairs, but overall not a major issue, if you have a large vehicle, parking is tight. Great village with super view, nice walk via stream into Lyme. Overall had a very nice stay, would recommend

A really comfortable apartment/cottage with all mod cons. It has a lovely aspect looking out on to fields beyond, great to wake up to. We stayed middle of February, it was very cold outside but we were kept warm and snug inside. The time of year meant we couldn't really use the patio area which is a real bonus to the accommodation. Enjoyed the weeks stay in a very quiet location. Only downside was the weather but heh, it was Oct/Nov so couldn't complain. Well laid out accommodation and the owner was always able to provide advice. Really enjoyed if you like plenty of opportunities to enjoy the countryside walks and seaside town.

The accommodation was fine and as advertised. Bed was very comfortable. The location was really good - only 5/10 minutes from Lyme Regis and other attractions were easily reached.

Lovely holiday let. Beautifully decorated and furnished. All equipment we needed was there. Very relaxing, quiet and the verandah was perfect for enjoying the sun. Owners were really helpful and were there if needed but otherwise unobtrusive. Good location, great walks around the area. Will definitely return.

We had a few nights in October, lovely accommodation in an amazing location. So easy to walk into Lyme and access to local coastline. Hosts were friendly and informative. Highly recommended.
