Popular Welshpool is nearby where you can enjoy culinary delights in pubs, restaurants and cafes, enjoy the plethora of shops, weekly market and visit the museum, Llanfair Light Railway, take a canal trip or visit National Trusts Powis Castle. Within easy reach are the medieval towns of Shrewsbury, lovely Ludlow, Bala Lake and Lake Vyrnwy to name but a few destinations nearby.

Great location for both walking and cycling. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Mid-Wales. It was great to come home to such a comfortable cottage every evening

As a family of 4 with 2 teenagers we were very happy at the cottage. Used it as a base to combine some country walks with visits to places like Powys Castle, Porthmadog-Ffestiniog steam train, and nearby Montgomery (lovely). The Jubilee beacons appearing on the hillsides all around was a memorable sight and we were thankful for the views from Harp Read morecottage. Hide

This place is simply amazing. The location is superb, pitched above the valley with stunning 360degree views. The forest at the side is great for walks and exploring and the cottage itself is truly amazing. We will certainly be back here again soon.

Lovely cottage with stunning views. Owners extremely helpful. Stone floored one level cottage was excellent for a stay with our Labrador. We stayed as we are walking Offas Dyke and the cottage is more or less on the path. We used Stonebridge taxis to take us to Buttington and then we walked back up to the cottage. The taxi driver was friendly and aRead morerrived a few minutes early, highly recommended. We picked up a take away at The Raj in Forden on the first night, it was so good we went back :-) Hide

Myself and my sisters enjoyed a lovely long weekend in this beautiful cottage. The pictures dont do it justice, 3 lovely bedrooms and comfortable sitting room. Well equipped kitchen and utility area. A lovely well equipped cottage! Location is amazing and the views are great. Our family had plenty of space and there was always something to do. We enjoyed the circular walking route recommended in the house info book.

Great cottage, superb views, lots of quiet walks straight from the house, or a short drive away. This cottage is highly recommended for a chill-out break, away from the stresses of normal life.

This was an excellent location for a stay in the area. The peacefulness and comfort of the house enabled a great stay for our family of five (including two teenagers) and a small dog. Everything you could need from a holiday home and more, clean on arrival and with some spectacular views over the valley. Plenty of good walks nearby and places to viRead moresit. Lovely cottage in a secluded location with breathtaking views. The cottage was absolutely perfect, with a lovely welcome basket containing bread, jam, cakes and milk (in the fridge). The kitchen was the beat equipped kitchen we have found, normally holiday cottages can be sparse in this area, but Harp Cottage had everything we needed and more! The Read morelocation gave us easy access to so many wonderful areas and the kids enjoyed every minute. I highly recommend staying here. Hide

Loved it! Quiet, comfortable beds, amazing views across the valley, cozy sitting room, WiFi & Roku so could watch Olympics Netflix on tv in evenings. A little basket of treats on the table, homemade jam, loaf of bread & Welsh cakes was much appreciated. Stepping out front door onto Offas Dyke path was perfect.. Very well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - wonderful sunsets. Accommodation is all on one floor, and just one bathroom (in case that's an issue). The actual garden is quite small, and not fenced (so we had to keep the dog on a lead), but the views more than make up for this.

This property has the most amazing view with plenty of outside furniture to enjoy it from. Its located in a quiet part of Wales away from the crowds and is perfect if you have a dog, with woods to explore directly outside the property. Highly recommended.

Very well equipped cottage with amazing views, we were lucky with the weather and we could see for miles. the beds were comfy with good quality bed linens also a cosy lounge with fire. We have just returned from a lovely cosy break at the cottage which is in a great location. The hard floors are excellent for dogs and the views are wonderful. Lots of walks from the cottage or near to hand. A perfect break.
