This characterful property is ideally suited for couples or families to enjoy a great holiday. It offers comfortable accommodation with easy access to South Downs and the nearby beach at Shoreham.

Steyning is a pretty Sussex village that offers plenty of activities, the village has a wealth of independent shops and a fine selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Located in the heart of the South Downs, it is a great place to enjoy a variety of countryside walks as well as cycling, and for those looking for a traditional family seaside holiday there is the nearby beach at Shoreham. Close by, is the city of Brighton, which is home to the Royal Pavilion and the i360, the world’s tallest moving observation tower. Brighton also boasts a wealth of restaurants, bars and boutique shopping, perfect if you are looking for some retail therapy.

Enter the property, to find the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The lounge area, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, has a large comfy sofa and two chairs with an inglenook fireplace with wood burner, Smart TV and DVD. Enjoy a relaxed meal at the small dining table, or a morning coffee sitting on the bar stools. Through to the kitchen area, where there is gas range oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and coffee machine. A door from the kitchen area, leads out into the fully enclosed garden and there is a separate WC. Steep turned stairs lead from the hall and take you to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms, one delightful king-size bedroom with wrought iron bedstead, and one twin bedroom (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request). The light and airy bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, is a wonderful landscaped garden to enjoy with patio area, table, chairs and BBQ, great for summer entertaining. There is also a lawn area and bicycle storage for keen cyclists. Parking is available within walking distance, either unrestricted roadside parking or the nearby local car park (charges apply). Guests may unload outside of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage itself was full of character. Not necessarily our choice of decor. Too dark for our tastes. Beware low ceilings and doorways! Very pretty garden. a good base for exploring the area.

Cosy, comfortable and extremely well refurbished historical cottage in a superb location for the pretty town centre. We didnt even move the car for our relaxing stay. Plenty of dog walks around and most cafes dog friendly. The small and generous touches make you feel welcome and valued.

Booked this cottage for my partners birthday spent with our son and Frenchie for a long weekend. The cottage was perfect in every way! This is a fabulous holiday property in a wonderful location. The antiquity of the building is enchanting and very interesting. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and looks like it has been refurbished recently to a high standard. There are good pubs with good food just minutes away and a range of independent shops and places to eat. Superb Cottage in a really lovely Town.Such a bonus to find a wonderful Cottage which is dog friendly. The cottage was clean, cosy, comfortable and warm, ideally situated for strolling into the Town. There are great walks for the dogs, and all the pubs are dog friendly.We will definitely return

Lovely old cottage, exposed ships timber beams, sloping floors, centre of town, nice enclosed garden. Only negative was no attached parking but we were always able to find free on road parking space within a few hundred yards.
