This wooden lodge-style property enjoys a lovely, quiet location, within the stunning Glynn Valley, conveniently situated just a few minutes from the A38, and pub just one mile away. The pretty harbour town of Looe is just twelve miles away and has much to offer, including shops, cafes, and restaurants, many of which offer local seafood provided by the town’s fishing fleet. Just a short boat trip away is Looe Island, a naturally beautiful spot which offers the chance to see the colony of seals basking on the rocks. Further afield, but still within an easy drive, are many of Cornwall’s attractions, including The Eden Project and the famous surf beaches on the Atlantic coast.

This single-storey property is accessed via a short flight of wooden steps, which takes guests to the decked veranda. From here, on entering the lodge, guests will find themselves in the attractive and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has comfortable seating, with TV and DVD, as well as wonderful views across the valley through the patio doors. The kitchen area is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. There is access, if needed, to a freezer in the owner’s on-site home. The property’s bedroom is an attractive king-size, with valley views, which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC.

Outside, the property has a pleasant, raised, decked veranda with seating and a BBQ, as well as its own private lawn. Additionally, guests are able to make use of the owner’s garden, a spacious acre, with views across the valley. There is off-road parking provided, while storage for bikes is also available.

The cottage was beautiful, in wonderful surroundings with excellent views. It was the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in with lovely facilities and it was so clean. Ideally situated to explore many towns along both coasts as well as the possibility of some lovely walks. Fantastic!

Nuthatch Lodge is a wonderful little cottage. I booked it for my first holiday with my girlfriend and we both loved it. It's a short drive to Jamaica Inn, Bodmin Jail and the Eden Project and although located on a nice quite road with no noisy traffic it is close enough to a main road that will take you to the further attractions. Our host was veryRead more welcoming (as was her lovely dog) yet respected our privacy. I loved our little welcome package. Hide
