We enjoyed our stay. Although it was winter we were cosy and warm. Good location. Lovely views up and down estuary.

Lovely location with great walks on both sides of the estuary. (Walks do involve a short walk along a busy road but with a verge). Mawddach estuary is exceptionally beautiful and the cottage has wonderful views across it.. Very well equipped and warm on our December visit though the sofa was rather bony!

Great location for seeing mid/north wales ! Quiet dispite being on a busy road thick walks mean you dont hear traffic !

lovely place to stay, fantastic views, will go again, we had no problems with the parking.

Lovely views which we enjoyed mainly from the garden, as we were lucky with the weather! Next to a busy road, which should be taken into account but not be off-putting, as I understand the owner is upgrading the parking, the verges are adequate to walk along and inside there is no noise. The walking from the door is great-well worth investigating rRead moreoutes and getting a map. We walked to Barmouth and hired bikes overnight to return along the cycleway. The pub at Penmaenpool serves a good meal. Hide

Lovely location and outlook. Set on a busy road so care needed. Very clean and comfortable.

This must be the property and patio that gives top views of the river and Cader Idris. Parking even for a nimble car driver could be tricky. There are gaps in fast traffic that allow parking inside white lines. Access to the car is safe when parked. Easy lay-by for turning available both before and after property.

We had a lovely week in North Wales. The cottage is in a idyllic location and the view is outstanding. The cottage had all the facilities we needed and was very comfy. There is a pub within walking distance and an amazing restaurant (Mawdach Restaurant) just down the road. The owner does a lovely touch with some welsh cakes, tea & coffee and 1 pintRead more of milk (in fridge) on arrival. We weren't expecting this but a very welcome touch after a long drive. Cannot recommend highly enough! Hide

The cottage itself is excellent with good views and very quiet. The only downside is the parking. If the other property is not being used then the parking next to the building is not bad. Great care needs to be taken when pulling away and parking there.

Lovely property with stunning views over the estuary and a lovely sunny garden to sit out in. However, the parking is extremely tight for two vehicles and is a bit tight to get the cars off the road.

Reviewed by Mike, 29th March 2019

Lovely, well-equipped old property (but well modernised). 13 steps down from the road so perhaps not suitable for those with a mobility issue. A wide car might struggle to get fully off the road (fold wind mirrors in!).

A lovely cosy cottage for two, fantastic setting with ever changing views over the estuary. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cottage is positioned right on the main road but was not noisy or busy at this time of year. Lots to see in the area with amazing scenery.
